I guess it's getting to be that time of year, huh? I've never really understood people liking to be scared, even if it actually turns out to be harmless.

[A black cat yawns beside him and blinks sleepily in his direction before curling up again.]

Things always seem to get weird around here during the holidays. And maybe in more dangerous ways around this one. I hope nothing too bad happens in the next week or so.

[Bashful rubbing at the back of his head, here.] Ah, I didn't mean to be a downer or anything. Sorry. Anyway. I'm not sure I'm in the mood for it this year. Wouldn't even know what to go as, really. [Because you shouldn't do the same thing two years in a row, right? And things from home are still a little painful right now.]

So what's everyone planning to be up to this Halloween? Even if I'm not doing it, it's still nice to hear about.

[Gohan's energy is very tighly controlled and pushed down when he returns. Only those particularly adept at sensing such things and also know him very well will be able to detect him that way.

[Overall, Gohan looks rather nonplussed, oddly blank for a kid that usually emotes so obviously. He blinks a little, as if disbelieving his current surroundings for a moment. Oh. So he's really back. Well, he should let people know.]

I guess there wasn't too much of a time discrepency this time, huh? What's it been here, a couple days? [A tight, forced smile that doesn't reach his eyes.] Anyway, I'm back, in case anyone was wondering about me.

[He doesn't necessarily intend to talk to everybody, but he's too tired to make a filter. And he looks it. His face is pale and worn, as though he didn't get much sleep last night, if any at all. He doesn't appear to be physically hurt, at least. Not from the view the NV gives, anyway.]

I'm really sorry if I worried anyone.

Um . . . Miss Nelliel? Could you come bring me home? I wouldn't ask, but I'm pretty tired and don't think flying would be a good idea right now. [He's put his ki up a little above a resting level, to make sure he's easy for her to find; it'll be coming from Sector 6.]

[The feed opens, and it’s clear the NV is rattling violently, a close-up view of smoke and fire engulfing the screen. A booming rumble thrums through the air.

[But just as suddenly as the feed comes on, it stabilizes. There are still flames and smoke in the background, but nowhere near as close as they were a few seconds ago.] Whew! Hm? Oh.

[The owner of the NV seems to have just realized it’s come on. Have little Gohan, face and clothes slightly sooty, looking straight into the camera. He's not smiling, but his expression, though somewhat disapproving, is still mostly relaxed.] Don’t worry, everyone; I’m okay. But you’ve gotta watch out for these eggs; they’re definitely not all fun and games.

[Yep, guess who found a cluster-bomb egg?]

[Gohan is sitting at a table, and though it's all neatly organized, there are stacks of books and papers all over it. Independent projects, you know. That fun university stuff. His expression is thoughtful and curious, kind of giving the impression that he's been considering this for a while.]

I've been thinking lately about what I want to do when I get older. I'm coming to the end of my first year of university here, and it really seems like I should have some kind of focus in mind for next year.

I'm just not sure what yet, though. I've thought about a few things, but . . . How do you decide? [Grown-up decisions. How do they work?]

[The view is a little rocky at first, and doesn't seem to point at anything in particular. In fact, it's just open sky right now. But before long, a voice pops up at least, though the owner of the voice doesn't seem to realize just yet that the feed is already on.]

Hm. Do you think this is far enough away that we can get it all in one shot?

[There's a 'hmm' coming from Nelliel, and some of her turquoise-green hair comes into view as the wind blows it in front of the camera.] Maybe we should move back a little more.

Right a few more feet, maybe. [Not much in the view changes at first, except the clouds, giving the impression of movement. When something else does make it into frame, it becomes clear that this video is coming from somewhere up in the air -- because it's looking down somewhat on a snowman. A gigantic snowman, tens of metres tall at the least. Looks like a couple of somebodies have put the excessive snow to good use.]

Aha! There, I think we've got it.

[It's just then that Nelliel opens up her NV and figures out that they're live.] Oh. Ah, yes. It looks like we have been recording for a little over a minute, actually.

Huh? [Checks his NV for a second.] Must've accidentally turned it on while trying to get the good view of the snowman. Oh, well.

[And now he addresses the network directly. He'd been planning on doing that anyway.] Hey, everyone. I know it's been pretty rough out there lately, with the blizzard and those cyborgs. [He's not in frame -- the camera is still pointed at the enormous snowman, towering above a nearby three-storey structure -- but he frowns a little at the latter, knowing who was behind that and that he'd been living in the same place as the guy for weeks. Still, he keeps his tone perky.] Anyway, I thought maybe this might cheer people up. Isn't he awesome? Miss Nelliel and I used up a lot of the snow for him.

[This was a good way to take Nelliel's mind off the cyborg incident. She's still annoyed about it, really, but she had enough fun with this distraction with Gohan that she's feeling a little calmer and happier now. She's never built a snowman before, although she had seen them before on people's lawns. The snowman on the lawn of Nueva Las Noches is far larger than any of those snowmen. She and Gohan made use of the overabundance of snow, and there is now a nearly 70 foot high snowman.]
