If you pick at a scab, you might make it start bleeding again, and if you keep doing it, the wound will never heal.
If the scab stays on there forever, the wound won't heal either. The cells have to dissolve the scab while the skin forms again underneath.

People can get used to any kind of surroundings. Even these. It doesn't get better when you pick at it, but leaving it entirely alone isn't the solution either, is it? So, what one thing would you change if you could?
