[The feed opens up to a skyline, between sectors one and two. There is a bit of a pause before a small click can be heard and following that a series of explosions can be seen at the various buildings, smoke rising up from a variety of them. The camera turns to Deadpool decked out in weapons and sitting on a crate]

I have to say, I was seriously wondering how to finish all this jazz up before I begin my next crazy happenstance in some other continuity, but I think going out with a bang is the only real appropriate way to do so, don't you?

[He gives a bit of an unapologetic shrug]

I have to say, it was a slice here. Can't say I'd repeat it, but hey, some things are just a once through. I guess I'm not very suited to all this sentimental shit. I'd like to say I've grown as an individual, and yatta yatta. But all I've really done is the same thing as always, been a nuisance, caused problems, explosions, death, destruction, all the standard things. Still, can't leave without giving everyone a proper goodbye...

[He presses a button, and then across the city this song can be heard ]

[See Deadpool sitting beside a fire in an old looking room, with a fancy chair. There is some classical music playing, some few may recognize it from Masterpiece theatre He sits with a pipe in hand, his mask lifted enough to draw a bit of smoke from it, and puff it out.]

Well, hello there lads and gentleman. I'm sure you are glad the family jewels are back in their proper places, and that seeing them makes you have all sorts of happy faces. And so a number I learned in the caribbean, a few of you might be familiar with it.

[The feed opens up to Deadpool just standing outside, just sort of chilling by the ocean]

You know, back at home I've probably dealt with a whole crap ton of situations way worse then the Newcomer hunt, thing was, you could always move around and see some new place after you blew the place up. You know take a little change of scenery or whatever. Good job torching that place folks, about time we gave them the old middle finger salute.

[He gives a little salute then looks at the ocean for a second]

Since I'm feeling generous, and a lot of you folks kind of suck, with the beating people in the face deal, I'll offer free of charge some lessons in the sacred art of kickassfu, of which I am a master.

[The feed opens up to Deadpool sitting at a table with a few empty bottles of booze, some broken glass. There is a tiredness in his body, slumped over and just kind of sitting there in the shadows. He drags a knife across the desk absentmindedly for a moment]

You know, I wonder what it would be like to live in a bubble. I mean, not individually, but like all together, in some bubbly wubbly place. We'd all be just like... surrounded by softness and rainbows. Instead of citizens or whatever, we'd just be like the bubblefolk, and farm our water and marshmellows.

[He twirls the knife around, and then hurls it across the room into the wall]

Thats not the kind of world we are in here though. Its hard, rough, full of danger. No matter how powerful or trained you are, there are some things which can hurt you here, and people you care about.

[He didn't know if she would be able to recover, but it was for the best for now]

For those of you who do care, Jubilee is dead. She died of wounds sustained during the Darkness and... wasn't able to pull through.

[It was his fault, he should have been faster, quicker, been ready for it, able to stop things from happening somehow. Who knew if these words would come true soon enough?

The feed clicks off]

[The video opens to the sound of a hard crack, and a large burly man on a concrete floor shortly follows that sound. A few steps are heard and Deadpool struts into view]

[Seating himself at a stool, he faces the audience]

Yes, your eyes aren't fooling ya... I am back once again, I had a brief tour of the old homeverse, met a few interesting folks, some of which are no longer amongst us. Fought some people, saved some people, same shit, different day.

[A non-caring shrug]

So what'd I miss? I hope I didn't miss any sexy parties because then I'd truly have to crack some skulls, maybe some femurs too, they crack nice. I'm assuming everything is its typical level of shitty, and that someone is going to buy me a beer, and catch me up on the dead, gone and new list.

[He gives a thumbs up and the feed cuts]
