If there was anyone else here who was afflicted by having contact with stupid Kyon, he's gone.

[ The feed is turned on, with the interior setting at Gearheads - notably the bar is not your average bar, but very steampunk in theme. Apparently tonight it's a bit rowdy from lots of people having drinks and having fun. Everyone likes fun right? What is perhaps surprising, is when the angle of the NV is shifted to show Ella - three sheets to the wind and standing on the counter Haruhi is working behind. While some people are still sitting there. They don't seem to mind. What's she doing on the counter? Singing and dancing apparently, a mug of something in her other hand, sloshing all over the place.

Oh yeah. She is SO drunk off her ass it's not funny. She isn't slurring yet though, so there's that! At some point, someone yells "Take it off!" and Ella happily obliges, unclapsing the white cloak she'd been wearing and dropping it over a chair, before resuming her performance. Now that the cloak is off, it's visible that she's wearing a rather steampunkish outfit to fit in with the theme of the bar. Once her performance comes to an end, she turns to Haruhi and pulls her up with her. Time to get KRUNK up in this joint (or maybe not)! What the hell, Ella of Frell. ]

[ OOC: I am so sorry. But yes, Haruhi kinda gave Ella a command a bit ago, to broadcast herself drunk and dancing on a table. Enjoy :D Actionspam okay if anyone wants to go to Gearheads (I can put up a log if they'd rather)! Haruhi and Ella will probably both be tagging in for kicks :D Also yes, people are randomly shouting helpful things such as in that clip, and she is complying with them. Funstuff. ]

[As Haruhi had expected, the trip to the museum was deeply, intensely, vividly boring. She was going through all the forms of politeness, but at the completion of hour two of staring at dinosaur bones and woolly mammoth carcasses and whatnot, she was pretty tired of it. These things might've been cool if you were in the past to see them, but now?

However, that's not what's broadcast over the network. What's being broadcast is chaos.

Just as she'd thought there was no hope, she saw the pterodactyl she was staring at... blink.

Five minutes later, she's flipped on her NV, excited, eyes wide and and grin entirely out of proportion. She spins it around to reveal what was once a tableau of Neanderthals. The tableau is still there, but the Neanderthals are fighting some grizzly bears. In another corner of the room, a T-rex is stomping madly away -- in fact, the "corner of the room" is rapidly turning into a corner of nothing.]

Hey, you were right about this place after all, Dr. Yumeno! History coming alive~!

[The Dr. Yumeno in question does not seem to be entirely assuaged by these comments. In fact, he seems to be staring around with mingled bewilderment, wonder, and horror. She turns briefly to the NV.]

If you guys are looking for some excitement, come to the Longfellow Museum in Sector 3!

[She laughs gleefully before cutting the video.]

[Words scroll over the screen (she's actually just rebroadcasting them from the network:]

"Nulls and Norms, a newly released pen & dice tabletop gaming system, has sold over 1000 copies this week."

"Can you take the challenge and survive...without powers?!"

[Then the camera snaps to Haruhi, against a rather poorly-fitting CGI green screen background of indistinct monsters and dragons and swords. There are, however, realistic-looking "potion" concoctions, grabbed from Gearheads, that are bubbling and simmering away.]

Now, role-playing games can be educational explorations of alternate situations, and everything. More importantly, they can potentially lend spice to life, especially around here, when you could roleplay someone a lot more convincingly than if you were in a boring normal world and you had to just pretend you're someone else and say or write out all their actions.

Which makes this game all the more ridiculous, right, Siren's Port? Who wants to play a game where you have less interesting things that you can do than in real life?

[She points straight at the camera.]

That's why I'm going to be running a Mega Expansion Pack session of Nulls and Norms in the next month. Because we need to have this kind of event done properly, it'll take some preparation time. Which gives all of you out there time to prepare yourself a character for the game! Got that, everyone? Get ready for a super SOS adventure! Send your applications in here!

[A slight pause while she wonders whether to address the other notable current event.]

...And forget about all the stupid Valentine's Day stuff. That holiday is best done as a social guide like it is in Japan than as an occasion for all the mental illness love crap. It's okay to make chocolate and stuff, but all the romantic dinners and stuff... That's purposeless. Use that time to get ready for this instead!

All right, you can go back to your humdrum daily life now!
