Portraits were so much more tedious in the time I come from. because of the whole history thing, I've been thinking about that... even if we hate things, we have the internet now.

I got a callback from a job, yesterday afternoon. 'My new boss' said that because I'm new here (which fuck you I've had three birthdays here is it my fault you're ancient and think years don't count for anything? No, it's not) I only have one slip-up before I'm fired. I'm only working there for the discounts. I hope she doesn't think she scares me. I guess they get busy round Valentines Day though so she needs the help. My stupid maid isn't going to come back but if she did she'd really be in for it since it's her fault it's come to this. What a class act. [He won't even breach the subject of his butler.]

That said how is the working class treating you all these days?

One would think the 'natives' of this accursed land would realize by now that the Newcomers the Core has drawn to this world were brought here with purpose.

It is no coincidence that they disappeared or even that they returned. The Core, like so many others of this city's ancient relics are not simply devices to be altered or programmed anew. They see, and they know, and not even the knowledge of my former masters is enough to bring them to heel.

Would that we could all see what these strangers did in their absence.

Y'know I'm getting pissed that these M.A.N. people are running around labelling every Newcomer they see as some kinda sicko who wants to do godawful shit to their kids. It's like they've forgotten that it was Newcomers who went out and found that missing kid last year, or that they've been happy letting their kids take classes for six months from a Newcomer but now, because some bigot's got it in her head that we're all sick bastards, they're gonna take their kids out of classes until they fire the guy teaching them because he's a Newcomer.

[He checks himself because he's doing the same thing that they're doing.]

[The normally sour faced Lieselotte seems to be in a good mood this evening.]

Well, I cannot say that I enjoyed being dragged into the past, but I at least had some good news awaiting me when my NV came back on. It seems that Mr. Butz thought enough of me to prepare in case he ever got dragged home. I received a prerecorded message from him stating that as the house was paid for, I was allowed to stay here. After a little bit of searching I believe I found the proper documents to make it legal.

So, that is one less thing I have to worry about. There is still the problem of money, but I will begin to think about that later. I just want to rest for now. Oh and Mr. Creed, if you see this, I would still like your help sorting out his things. He left some instructions involving two specific ones, a pair of golden statues, and as he thought so much of me I would like to see his wishes carried out.

One last thing. To everyone that was nice enough to offer me your help....

[ Here's William T. Spears. He hasn't been around all that much lately. Seems that with the majority of his coworkers returning home, he has reverted to his old reclusive ways. ]

As I am sure a few of you have noticed, Grell Sutcliff is no longer in Port. He is not dead this time. His NV is disconnected so I am certain he has been sent home.

[ There's no sadness in his voice. Why? Because the point of this post is not to grieve. It's a business post. And there's no emotion necessary for that. ]

Since he is no longer here, I am looking to sell his photography studio, as well as all of the photography equipment contained there in. The studio is located in Sector 4, is in excellent condition and is fairly well equipped.

[ Hey all you past customers who got their pictures (perhaps nude ones?) taken by the mild mannered "Eric Sligby"... yeah that photographer wasn't who you thought he was. ]

I will also consider renting the lot.
