- Coupon Scammer Caught!
The prankster behind over 2000 circular mailings of counterfeit Seronex Pharmacy coupons was arrested shortly before sirens yesterday. The 18-year-old is a freshman art student at Hawthorne University, who was apparently 'inspired' by a student orientation speech given by Professor Leeding, who teaches Marketing and Graphic Design.

Professor Leeding was not available for comment, but the Dean of Faculty is investigating rumors that Leeding met with several of his students-to-be during orientation and sportingly challenged them to "impress him by really stirring the pot and thinking about new ways to influence consumers this semester", which Ms. Melanie Furthwood apparently took to heart.

- Marshmallow Roast & Bonfire @ Crow’s Head Beach is a fun open event hosted by Siren’s Port Scouting Organization to raise funding for local scout troops and to generate interest among young people to join after-school scouting activities as the new public school year is underway next week. Enjoy marshmallows, learn songs, receive joining information packets and learn about other scouting events throughout the fall. 5pm-7pm.

- Hideaway Lake has been closed to swimmers until further notice, due to an overgrowth of toxic algae contaminating the water, which may be related to trace amounts of darkness seep through underground waterways. The Underground Mall Clubs Association has ordered the area sealed off until a team of SERO researchers have completed more testing.
