- Spencer’s Saboteur Suspects Still at Large!
Police are still investigating stills taken from footage supplied by Spencer’s security cameras, which show at least 13 individual suspects involved in Tuesday’s raid on the grounds. Captured pictures and some forensic renderings of some of the more visible figures appear on the nightly news as suspects wanted for charges of trespassing, at least four accounts of manslaughter, arson and vandalism. SERO has connected a suspect to corporate terrorist activity back in May, and AGI is also conducting internal investigations, as one of key suspects caught on film appears to be an affiliate in human resources.

- Caregood Pound is rounding up Spencer’s pack of fourteen hunting dogs from lower Sectors 4 & 6. It is estimated that some of them have not survived the night as strays, however if any of these animals are sighted by civilians, they should not approach and contact the dogcatcher’s hotline immediately . These dogs are dangerous, trained to attack strangers on sight, and some may be wounded or highly agitated because of the fire in their kennels.

- OPEN MIC NIGHT this Sat at The Cat's Eye. Two blocks up from the ORCHARD stop full service bar and tea shop. COVER $5, half fund the rebuilding of the restaurant and half to audience-choice performance of the night.

SUPPORT LOCAL ACT, LOCAL BUSINESS! Event 4pm-8pm. Regular bar hours to be reestablished again SOON!!

[It seems like every time Korra makes a post to the network it's to ask for something or someone to help her, but she's sick and tired of being unable to use her powers and the hunt has laid waste to any sense of inner peace she'd been fostering through meditating and training on her own. She needs a hand, here.]

Are there any mystics or gurus on this island? Someone who's a master of meditation, or an expert on chakras? Someone who knows about... vision quests or something like that?

[Obviously she's grasping at straws here, but she's willing to try almost anything at this point.]

First off, my condolences to those who were targeted in the recent hunts.

I'm sure by now everyone has heard about the hunting grounds being attacked. The fact that he's out of a property is good, of course, but that doesn't mean they can't build another area or find more hunters. I don't think it's time to let our guards down.

For one thing, I don't think it's a good idea to fight amongst ourselves, whether or not we agree with what was done to the grounds. I understand having a moral objection, but we do need to stand together somehow if we're going to change the system. I'm hoping the people here would choose cooperating with others they disagree with as an alternative to a knife in the back, at least.

On that note, my fiance - [he swings the NV over to show Katniss sitting across the room; she gives a forced smile to the camera before he shifts the focus back to himself] has agreed to give archery lessons in case the need for self defense presents itself again. I'm aware that this city is full of people with abilities, so I'm also aware that archery might not sound very useful to people who could probably instantly destroy a bundle of arrows with their minds.

[He chuckles lightly before moving on.]

But what I will say is that if a situation comes up again where they're using Voids, like they were in those hunts, a practical skill could become all the more important. And really, there's not much to lose in this case. I promise she won't bite. [A pause, and a grin.] Not very hard, at least.

[There's the sound of an angered retort from the other side of the room as he looks towards the source of the sound.] Sorry, sorry— [And the feed cuts.]

[Additionally, the victims of both hunts (whose names were announced ICly over the network somewhere) would have found an unsigned package with a small cake inside with 'get well soon' written with icing on top delivered to their home or hospital room.]

[When the NV turns on, there's some faint noise in the background. There are a few people talking, too far away from the device to be heard properly, and there's the sound of a piano somewhere.]

When I worked in investigations back home, the worst I ever had to worry about was paperwork. The system was meticulous - overly so - and everything had to be done perfectly. Actual crime was low and the perpetrators were always caught and dealt with in one way or another. No one remembered criminals, either. Their names and ID numbers would disappear off the grid, smothered into silence. In retrospect, it was as efficient as it was suspicious.

[There's a hushed voice near the NV and Re-l thanks someone briefly.]

I've said it before, when I first arrived here, that this system is so much more corrupt and lacking...and yet it's also similar to my home. It's not the police and it's not the politicians, necessarily, that are the trouble. It's the people. They're so full of hate and stupidity, and they lash out at anything that's different. No one can be critiqued, especially not by a Newcomer.

[A bottle is opened and she pauses to pour herself a glass. She drinks it down quickly.]

They hate us enough to treat us like animals and hunt us. The best part of it is that no one wants to admit that it happens and no one is safe. Not official citizens, not cops, no one. Charming, isn't it?

[She leans back in her chair, the wood creaking. She's silent for a few moments, and though she wants to say something helpful...she just can't. Not over the network.]

If you have information about the people who were caught or those involved in the destruction of the hunting grounds, I suggest you go to the authorities immediately. Fill out a report, make sure you get a follow-up call, and cooperate with the detectives. If you come into the station ready to throw chairs or threaten officers, you will be thrown out or locked up. Don't piss them off.

...And one more thing. [She sets the bottle down with an audible thump.] Behave yourselves and stop getting your names on my desk, goddammit.
