Saboteurs Strike Spencers!Daybreak yesterday saw an early morning raid on Spencer’s Hunting Grounds in Sector 6. At least a dozen protesters, not yet identified by name, stormed the gates shortly after morning sirens. The hunting grounds are no stranger to objectors and trespassers, and although Spencer is known for shoot-to-kill policy and high-tech security surrounding the premises, this not the first time offended groups have disturbed a hunt-in-progress. Never, however, has such massive destruction nearly razed the whole property.
Damage reports mention uprooted trees, overturned rock formations, collapsed caverns and tunnels, and shattered outer walls. The lodge hall and residence of the warden was found completely demolished, including a decades-old collection of hunting trophies. The front iron gates have been bent and torn off their hinges, fires blazing across the property till noon as firefighters tried to determine if any people or wild game animals were trapped in the underground labyrinth levels of the blaze.
Smoke continued to spread across the southern end of the island, falling ash making visibility difficult near Versaid Lake Park, Crow’s Head Beach, and closing down the nearby car dealership.
Press was offered limited details, as SPPD closed off the area and continues to investigate the scene. Several bodies were removed from the grounds. Witnesses in nearby neighborhoods claimed to see a now-notorious gold dragon in the skies over the grounds, as well as an armoured angel with golden wings and a flock of circling ravens.
A large green-skinned ogre was seen vaulting the wall after power generators blew and the electrical fences were disabled. Some of Spencer’s game animals held on the hunting reserve may also be on the loose, including his trained pack of genetically enhanced hounds and a coyote which was sighted escaping the grounds.
Henry D. Spencer III, property owner and warden of the grounds, was admitted to SERO Hospital in critical condition around 9am. Found burned and heavily injured among the wreckage of his lodge hall, he was found on the brink of death and clutching a black box of recorded camera footage, currently unable to comment. However, his legal team is already assessing damages and assisting the police in gathering evidence to bring these vigilante vandals to justice.
AGI has reported that one of their well-paid movie stuntmen, Eddie Gumb, is among the reported dead at the hunting grounds, body found eviscerated and partially exsanguinated with a grab bag of bizarre wounds. A banana was found shoved through his eye, a squeaky toy where his liver should be, a recorder shoved down his throat, a femur replaced with a baguette, and his intestines used to spell out "don't have the mystery meat." AGI screenwriters are already planning for a made-of-TV biography in honor of his ‘colorful’ career as a daredevil of the silver screen.
In addition, Siren’s Port Sanguinarian Society is offering a reward for information about the hunt, claiming that a family member may have been present on the grounds Monday and has not been heard from since. Popular speculation indicates that this may imply a shapeshifter hunt was in progress, popular among the Port’s blood-feeding population in the nights leading up to full moons. The Society may be contacted privately at their office in Sector 3.
