I should just... go by another name, the next time I attend a flying race. The Daedalus teasing has been too over-played. Well flown, participants- I saw a few of you there. It's nice to see newcomers taking part in these city festivals.
From an afternoon well spent out of doors yesterday, I can definitely confirm that "spring has sprung", as the saying goes? It certainly feels like the season's coming into its prime. Pollen count is expected to be astronomical over the next few weeks, my colleagues have been telling me. (I suppose that's why it feels like I have a continual coating of dust in my eyes, every time I step outside.)
That said, it's high time I've made the usual reminder, that the Newcomer Clinic is open daily to help with allergy-related symptoms, and a prescription might make for easier health coverage than seeking over-the-counter Seronex pharmacy brand relief. Schedule an appointment- (ask for Dr. Yumeno, if it's me you'd like to see) and it's also a good idea to keep with general check ups too, so that we have your medical records and an emergency contact on file, in case the hospitals need to know the best way to treat you- we'll know exactly what you'd like us to be able to release by waiver, to help them find the best treatment.
The interaction of powers can create all sorts of unanticipated medical complications. I see these arise nearly every day at the hospital, when doctors and patients are not in good communication. So it's best we doctors are made well aware of them beforehand. If there is any doubt in sharing personal information, (and I do understand that abilities and unusual biology can be a sensitive subject) please remember that we're required by law to keep confidence.
Community Center Clinic Hours are being extended to 6pm, with the sunset sirens coming later. We are still looking for a few new volunteers, people with trained medical or 'healing' experience, to help with keeping things running. I'd be happy to write job recommendations, or put forth a good word at Skye, for those who work with us.
