One year. It was amazing then how quickly the time had passed, although looking back at it now parts of it seem to have been a lifetime. [ Which is incredibly ironic if you know her, and that statement is rare enough from her itself. She's had many moments, many odd years, but a lifetime? It's new ] There's a lot of questions that I have, perhaps more than when I first arrived, although now doesn't quite seem appropriate to ask. [ She doesn't know what has happened lately - that's included in her questions - but from past experience? There's always been something ]
I believe that five months is the approximation, if I have the dates correct. [ She does, for the record ] And all in a breath. [ It's a brief off track comment before she turns back to the point at hand - saying hello. A lifetime passed before and a breath for her absence. She may have been gone longer than usual but... it was hardly a breath, on both sides ]
I will ask one question, however. [ You would think it may be something important, or urgent given her previous holding off of the questions. In fact it is, just to her at least ] Is Taylor's still open? [ It's a coffee shop, one with particular importance to her - and there are one or two who may recognise it (with a tiny bit of hope there) ]
