BREAKING NEWS

11:07 AM – Signs of traffic already becoming perilous as several stoplights at major intersections begin to flash purple, orange, and blue. At one point, some believed there was a coded message in the flashing lights, but eventually the idea was discarded. The SPPD were called out in full force once again to help regulate the mayhem.

1: 23 PM – People attending the fairgrounds experienced a shock today when several of the attractions and miscellaneous electronics there began to act erratically. Popcorn machines began to overflow and fling the kernels at people, the Ferris Wheel began flashing different lights as well as moving forwards and backwards without a regular pattern, and so on. Only a few minor injuries were sustained, but the Fairgrounds were largely abandoned because of the assault.

3:50 PM – The SPPD releases a statement regarding current events – that apparently this was not a wire or power issue, but rather an issue rooted in something (or someone) else. The police chief assured reporters today that they would do everything within their power to locate and arrest the one responsible.

- ”Kiss Cam” at Grant Stadium Mercilessly Targets Unlikely Pairs
Usually a passing gag to fill the space between innings or rile up the crowd before a game, video screens continued to harass randomized pairs of strangers to lock lips throughout the duration of the entire Aces/Grimmsocks game yesterday afternoon. ‘FUU Comic Face’ NOW KISS, popular among young NV network circles, flashed demandingly on the LED scoreboards, causing a halt in play till the stadium could sort out their “technical difficulties”.

Ouch. [ Sam winces as he comes onscreen, and the NV flickers a bit, as if it can't decide whether or not to work. ] Anyone else having tech problems? Maybe mine's just faulty, but... I dunno. It's shocked me a bunch of times in the past hour. And this is the third time I've tried to send out this call.

[ Sigh. He's supposed to be the nerdy one. Dean will never let him live this down. ]

[private to Prue:]
Hey. I wanted to check up, see how you're doing. Some of our kitchen stuff is on the fritz, too, so... if you'd like to grab lunch sometime soon, that'd be alright with me. [ There's a half-smile. ]

[It's been a good hour or two since his arrival, and he's already been bombarded with a plethora of information, little of it useful in regards to what he wants to know. If things hadn't been coming to a head so rapidly back home, he might not have been as annoyed as he currently, was but... clearly circumstances were not on his side.

What a strange sort of world this was. Even Traverse Town did not drag others to itself unless they had already been displaced from their own world.]

It is clear I am far from the first to arrive in this world in such a manner. Equally clear is that there seems to be no return at the present time. However the information provided to me on other matters has been on the whole unsatisfactory.

As such I have a few questions, for whomever might answer.

First and foremost, is there any method of divining the status of our worlds in our absence, for those of us not native to this one?

[His other questions can wait. Right now that one is top of the priority list.]
