- Local Child Goes Missing From Newcomer Block Party, Parents Outraged
Missing Child reports are all over the news about Violet Whelan, a button-nosed, brown-haired and brown eyed seven year old girl capable of x-ray vision. Although no ransom messages have surfaced, SPPD suspect that she was taken away by an unknown newcomer, in response to her mother Diane Fletcher’s protesting in affiliation with Mothers Against Newcomers. She was last seen at The Newcomer Community Center’s Sector 4 Block Party yesterday around 4pm, wearing a yellow headband with matching leggings and blue dress with pastel buttons.
The child’s mother, hysterical, told police that her daughter was strictly forbidden from associating with any newcomers, and that her ex-husband should have never brought Violet to the street event, let alone turned his back for a few precious moments, allowing her to wander off among so many strangers.
“We’ve been over this a thousand times! He can’t keep using those people and their newcomer social club as a latchkey program for my baby! Once we find her I’ll be demanding full custody with no visitation rights- provided those transdimensional heathens haven’t tortured her, or...or...” Mrs. Fletcher quickly broke down into a raving, distraught mess of accusations, and needed to be restrained from assaulting her ex-husband and remaining newcomers who stayed behind to aid the search and break down the block party.
One such newcomer, a spiky haired adolescent named Sora, may have been the last to see her. When questioned by police and press about the girl’s disappearance early this morning, he told reporters that he knew the girl from the center’s afterschool program where he regularly mentors and volunteers, expressing concern for her disappearance.
"Of course I know Violet. She used to drop by the Community Center all the time for the activities. Could've have happened to anybody nicer. Last I saw her was yesterday at my booth. She'd won a prize, but by the time I came back to give her the fish, she was gone. Me and a couple of the other volunteers are looking for her now. We just gotta find her."
[SPPD’s missing child hotline number scrolls along the bottom of all NVs and news programs are frequently interrupted to flash Violet’s school picture across the screen, asking anyone with information on Violet’s whereabouts to please be in contact with police.
Throughout the day, any known newcomers, especially those who appeared at the block party, may be questioned or even harassed by concerned natives about the girl’s whereabouts, and might also be accused of collaborating with kidnappers, if they appear ‘hostile’ or ‘suspicious’.]
- Freak Darkness Attack Kills 3 at AGI Club 24
Club 24's no-pants party on Sunday was brought to a screeching halt a little bit after 9:00 PM on Sunday night. Just as the party was getting into full swing, from the central dance floor there was suddenly an uproar and violent screams. A Darkness monster of unknown origin appeared within the crowd and began attacking partygoers. Nine people were injuried and hospitalized in the attack, and three were killed. Two, a woman and a man, were found eviscerated by the creature itself, described as a "huge, cat-like, bear-like" monster, and one man was later found when police came to investigate, beaten to a pulp. Police theorize he was stampeded by the crowd in their efforts to escape to another room of the club.
"It came out of nowhere, man!" reported Roger Miller, 23, who was attending the party and on the dance floor at the time of the attack. "One minute we're all having a good time and the next, POW."
Witnesses report chaos breaking out on the floor as the creature was discovered, many partygoers running away to the back room of the club. Several brave attendees attacked the creature with barstools and pool cues.
"I hit it once in the head with my stool and it fell," said Steve Barnes, 28. "And then I rushed to the back with everyone else."
By all reports, however, the creature just vanished afterwards. There was no trace of the monster found when police arrived shortly after 10 PM, and even stranger, there appear to be no flaws in the building's Darkness-proofing. Security guards report that no monster was permitted inside the building from any of the three entrances, making the explanation of how the creature got inside the club the true mystery of the night. The investigation continues, though authorities believe this to have been a freak accident.
