- DeDrago Estate Totals Losses from Friday’s Big Wave
AGI CEO Italy De Drago Estate’s backyard property, which extends over a ten acre lot in Sector 7, is still in shambles after Friday afternoon’s unusual tsunami, which battered the northwest coast of the island around 3pm and flooded over the high cliffs. While the coastline of Sectors 7 & 5 is still recovering from the big wave, the DeDrago clan has suffered over an estimated 15 million in damages, including extensive landscaping, priceless statues, an olympic-sized inground swimming pool, tiled deck, gilded gazebo and patio.
"This seems like just the sort of thing we warn against when we say SERO meddles with things they shouldn't. Who knows what really caused that wave? This is proof positive that SERO needs to be more transparent in their research, to prevent things like this from happening to innocent people. We're not going to take this for anything less than the insult and attack it is against our family, and we will not take it lying down," said one outraged member of the household.
The Stone Estate, perched completely untouched on the opposite side of the island, smugly noted that they suffered no damages, and plan to install further force field protection along the borders of their property.
- The Charles Redcliff Art Museum is sponsoring a Portraits in the Park Art Contest, beginning today at noon. Artists and their Portrait Subjects will have 3 hours to complete their entries at the lakeside. Any drawing or painting medium & both amateur and professional skill levels welcome. Supplies will be provided. Three Winners will be featured at the Redcliff’s spring gallery, and receive store credit at Redcliff Photo Labs, for 500 high quality fine art prints of their work.
