A little while ago some one was on the network asking about people's Core-given powers and when they found out about them. It got me wondering... how many people have problems controlling their Core-given powers? And...

Is there anyone out there who knows how to help with that?

I'm not expecting any answers, just... kind of hoping...

- Leap Day Wallace Strikes Again
SPPD received several dozen complaints of an old man with a gill mutation and a blue and yellow suit harassing children throughout the day on February 29th. Police report that the elderly gentleman would say something mean or frightening to make the children cry, and then give them candy. The so called 'legend' of Leap Day Wallace is that he is a mutant that emerges from the sea every leap year to turn children's tears into candy, and encourage people to live their life with gusto on their extra day of life. Leap Day Wallace is generally considered a mere holiday-themed prank and not actually one specific individual. While the SPPD encourage citizens to report any nuisances, the rare, random appearance of the prankster makes it both difficult to track and prosecute.

"Is this for real?" asked one parent of a Leap Day Wallace 'victim'. "I could swear this is just the sort of thing the candy industry would think up to drum up business. It's mean to tease a child into crying just to give them sweets, though, and I've been trying to keep little Kylie away from sweets."

Mothers Against Newcomers has written a letter of complaint to a popular Op/Ed in the newspaper, claiming that Leap Day Wallace is an obvious product of newcomer maliciousness. The editor was quick to reply that Leap Day Wallace has appeared the last few leap years, and said "It's a shame he couldn't turn ignorance into candy, too."

[When the feed comes on all that's visible is an overcast sky and the sound of waves crashing. It shifts, shaky before the NV is set firmly onto a rock. Syrena seems to be splayed out on a rather large rock herself, golden tail shimmering and ever so visible, the fin dipped into the water. Her rather nude chest is also apparent, but she seems comfortable more than anything, long damp hair blowing lightly in the breeze, pooling over her shoulders.]

Today I found something interesting.

[And she seems to reach off camera for a moment, before thrusting a metal fork right at her NV.]

This. This is what I found.

[She pulls it back toward herself and takes a few strands of hair in hand before...combing them with the fork.]

Is it not an amazing treasure? Knots in hair are bothersome but this rids the hair of them. It is much more effective than using fingers.

What is it called, this treasure of mine? I have no name for it. I wish to know.

[Raphael's prison cell is looking a bit empty today. It's almost as though someone has been cleaning up a bit. He sits on his cot, a small, smug grin on his face, and at last he speaks to the NV.]

I will be a free man tomorrow.

It seems this wretched modern age is finally worth something after all. I'm frankly quite surprised.
