- The AGI-funded Erotic Dance Expo is set to draw record crowds to Memorial Auditorium from Thursday to Saturday (3/1 - 3/3). The Expo will feature a seriest of talks by the best teachers of the business and cover a variety of subjects, from discussions on how to battle dancer stereotypes to basic lessons in pole dancing safety. There will be several live performances from the most well-respected dancers of the business, including a drag burlusque and strip tease, AGI's most awarded and famous pole-based performer, Tan'neth. Tan'neth will be putting in a rare public appearance promoting and holding signings for hir tell-all book, Poledancing To The Top, most famous for its truthful expose of the backstabbing backstage world of erotic dance, and the prejudice ze encountered and overcame.

Poledancing To The Top and Tan'neth have recently seen the headlines of many Siren's Port gossip rags due to a chapter that briefly mentions angel-winged darling and self-help guru Neveah Knorr, whom Tan'neth met during dance try-outs early on in her career. Tan'neth maintains that Knorr "had a queen bee personality that was totally undeserved considering her skill on the pole" and "fake boobs and a smile of silicone". Knorr's publicist maintains that she never worked as a pole dancer, and accused Tan'neth of trying to squeeze a few extra bucks out of Knorr's name.

- In Celebration of Leap Day, the North Point Carnival Grounds will be featuring several giant trampolines set up throughout in the Underground Mall. Bounce around and into March!

- Also in celebration of Leap Day, Baxter Elementary in Sector 4 will be hosting a Frog Race at noon in the schoolyard, open to the public, selling lemonade and other baked goods to fundraise for their Science Education programs. Come out and cheer for each 3rd grade classroom’s pets!

[ Lois looks far, far too amused today. And it's not the kind of amused that implies someone did something to entertain her; oh no, this is a Lois Lane who's got something planned.

Two weeks and the apocalypse hasn't come; she figures it's safe to be public about this now. ]

I did some research. Turns out this is the day when women are allowed to propose to men. Apparently in Finland saying no means the guy has to buy her fabric for a new skirt. I think she still has to make it herself, though. Lucky her.

My opinion on 'allowed' is probably obvious, so I won't go there.

[ She bites her lip for a moment to keep from laughing. ]

Anyway, she's got this chance that only comes along once every four years. Say she wants to be extra cheesy because it's also her boyfriend's birthday. The problem is he's only a quarter of the age someone born the day before would be.

A girl really can't propose to someone the calendar thinks is six years old.

Besides, I'm taken.

[ As she takes a sip of what is probably coffee, something glints on her left hand. ]

So I guess you'll just have to settle for 'Happy birthday,' Smallville.

[No video this time. Voice only. He wasn't even going to bother with that. This was originally text, but he feels confident enough right now to speak. Video is just out of the question though. There's no chance of that right now]

I just have one question, you know, something I've been sorta wondering about. [He's trying to keep his voice steady and his tone light, but he can't seem to really bring much life to it] Go ahead and ignore me if this is too personal or whatever, but how do you deal with death? [He pauses] I mean, there's been that stuff on the news about vampire attacks and people dying and everything. So it just got me thinking, I guess. [That's not how he started thinking about it at all] I mean, I, uh, I never really lost anyone close to me before, at least not anyone I remember.

[Nina is already giggling quietly as she turns on the video feed. Three-quarters of the screen reveals Tenma, who is wearing a rather interesting apron and concentrating very, very hard on something he's making in the kitchen. The rest of the screen is taken up by the wall behind which Nina is hiding.

She begins to whisper her narration into the NV.]

And here is the good doctor in the middle of surgery. It's a rare and difficult operation, and his first time ever performing it! Let's hope there are no complications.

[Tenma is moving around the kitchen, a mixing bowl in one hand and a wooden spoon in the other. He's humming something indistinct for right now, and he does this dance where he does a little jump on one foot then the other to the tune.]

Oh! It looks like the doctor is performing a good luck ritual. Who knew surgeons could be so superstitious? Or maybe he's warming up for the difficult effort ahead.

[Now he's doing a little butt wiggle, then what looks like the Thriller side step shuffle, waving the spoon in the air for a second, before pouring the mixture in the bowl into a pan.]

This is very difficult work we're watching. Each step of the operation is performed with infinite care, yet many patients don't make it through surgery! But Doctor Tenma is the best. This one has a chance!

[He hesitates then, picking up the pan and looking around, unsure what he's supposed to do now. Does he put the pan into the oven? Yes. Yes he does. So he opens the oven, putting the pan in, and shutting the oven door. He goes back to dancing, sashaying his way over to where he put the cook book.]

Watch him move with confidence. This is a doctor you can trust with your life. If the patient lives through the day, it's because of him. But the operation isn't over yet!

[He starts singing louder, and now the lyrics can be heard.]

[He sings these pretty loud, seeing as he doesn't know anyone is watching this. At the same time, he's checking the cook book.]

Yesterday I was one of the lonely people... [He goes back to humming.]

It looks like the surgery might be a success! Everyone applaud the best surgeon in Siren's Port—Doctor Tenma!

[Oh no! He runs back to the oven, opening it quickly and grabbing the cooking sheet he had put in; unfortunately, he forgot that it was hot at this point, and so, burning himself on the sheet, he drops it quickly, everything splattering to the floor as he turns around and now sees Nina with her NV.] Oh! I didn't see you-- Nina? ....Is that your NV? .... Have you been filming this!?

Uh oh! Sudden complications arose! But that's all right, everyone, the next operation is sure to be a success!

[Tenma stares kind of bug eyed at the camera, because oh god how many people saw this!?]
