I just have one question, you know, something I've been sorta wondering about. [He's trying to keep his voice steady and his tone light, but he can't seem to really bring much life to it] Go ahead and ignore me if this is too personal or whatever, but how do you deal with death? [He pauses] I mean, there's been that stuff on the news about vampire attacks and people dying and everything. So it just got me thinking, I guess. [That's not how he started thinking about it at all] I mean, I, uh, I never really lost anyone close to me before, at least not anyone I remember.

I don't know. I don't think I've ever dealt with any deaths in a ... healthy way. It's always a 'don't talk about it' kind of thing with my family.

Really? See, me and mom talk about dad all the time, but he also died when I was really young so I guess by the time we could talk about it, it was gotten past already or whatever. [Not really what he's here to talk about though. He's not exactly over his dad's death but he's... alright with it?]

I just... You know, I was trying to figure out how I might deal, I guess, if someone close to me was killed or died or something. See how other people cope and go from there.

And I suppose I agree, but I will still miss her when she dies. She has refused resurrection on principle, you see.

There is no simple nor easy way to deal with it, nor one solution that works for everyone I'm afraid.

[ She's dealt with a lot of death, and a lot of people that have been close to her. She quite possibly deals with it worse now than with her first experience ]

...It's tough. I've had a lot of people die on me, and I never really figured out the best way to deal with it. I don't think there is a best way to deal with it.

I'm just, you know, kinda wondering how people deal at all. The only person who I really cared about who died, died when I was still too young to know better. And the only person who died when I was old enough to remember, was someone I didn't even know.
