- With the city looking for answers following the complete disappearance of supernatural powers on Wednesday, SERO released a statement this morning clarifying their efforts to solve the problem, as well as reassuring citizens that everything was under control.
"After a great deal of research on the phenomenon, we have every reason to believe that the loss of abilities was the result of a Core flux, and nothing more," said Albert Wesker, a research team lead for one of SERO's largest labs. "We advise all citizens to remain calm and collected as the situation comes to a close. SERO is doing its utmost to assure citizens that everything will return completely to normal."
"It is a stressful situation," commented SERO security chief Malcolm Oberst. "However, we have it well in hand. We are busily rehabilitating those who need it, for instance, those who were injured during the riots yesterday and picked up by our security forces for their own safety.
SERO also announced that they would be offering counseling to those troubled or disturbed by their loss of powers. A toll-free helpline is available on the main menu of SERO's telephone and NV systems, and SERO's finest ability counselors will be taking calls 24/7 for the next few days.
Siren’s Port Teens Help Out

With riots breaking out all over the city from citizens who had problems with becoming “norms” for a day, a group of costumed kids stepped up to help out. Wearing masks to hide their true identity, the group calls themselves the ‘Teen Titans’, based on what can be assumed their age (no details yet on what the rest of their name stands for). Throughout the day, many people have seen them flying from rooftop to rooftop, in alleys, and around the baseball field and newcomer apartments.
“No one had powers, so they couldn’t be using them to get around. They’re just fast, is all,” Robert Shore, sector four resident, told us. “They were helping people to the hospital, they were stopping riots, they were everywhere.”
While different powers and abilities would usually be hinted at, it seems like these crime fighters don’t need them to get the job done. “They’re kind of like that Bat guy. Is he still here?” An anonymous question asked by many.
“It was crazy. Crazy! One of them saved me, I was going to be trampled, and he just rescued me,” Rebecca Delorn, sector 3 resident, gave a tearful interview. “I’m glad the Teen Titans were around. They helped, so much.”
There are reports of broken bones, and some grumblings within the police force, but in the face of such a terrible day in our city’s history, it’s good to know someone is out there, looking out for us. Even if it just happens to be a bunch of kids.
