- Animal Rights Activists protest SERO’s ‘kittycam’ Darkness Exploration Program

Stray animals in Port are clever about finding shelter during the night. Most find temporary homes in sealed off places, or outrun the Darkness Decay Effect and find safe crawlspaces to wait out the terrible night.

However, when a high school Caregood Pound volunteer learned that a group of SERO-affiliated animal behavioral researchers have been strategically dumping laboratory cats equipped with night vision cameras into the darkness to see how they adapt, she decided to blog about this cruel practice. While such procedures have been going on for years, a commonplace staple of ‘darkness research’ most of the public wasn’t aware that domesticated cats were being intentionally released into dangerous parts of the city at night and monitored for mutation and other interactions with the darkness.

Keep Cats Inside! a petition headed soon for SERO laboratories, has been making rounds door to door in Sector 4 neighborhoods.
