-College Sports News Despite a rainy forecast, Hawthorne and Hillsdale Universities have not cancelled their annual “Homecoming” football game, still on for this weekend at Grant Stadium, although domed covering is planned for the weather, and pep rallies have been moved indoors at both campuses. Hillsdale, riding a wave of corporate pride and insularity sweeping the company after a tragic death of student Ryan Oberst, has been training especially vigorously all week, has already dedicated their commitment to this upcoming game to the Oberst family, and is expected to claim victory. Tickets are $15 with school ID, $25 without, and can be purchased over the network at the Grant ticketing office website.

- Changes to Newcomer Housing Could Be Coming Soon
A new legislative proposal slated for the governor’s consideration next week involves changes to property leasing laws which allows a newcomer’s tenancy or bank mortgage to be immediately terminated within 72 hours of no response to a landlord or bank's written or electronic communication.

This new rental ruling comes at the lobbying request of property managers and real estate brokers who have anguished about being cheated out of a contract agreements when newcomers abruptly vanish due to The Core. If passed, this lease addendum would be automatically applied to every newcomer rental by December 1st, as well as allow banks and landlords to hold returning newcomers accountable for unpaid rental or mortgage debt.

[ Buffy looks pretty serious. Not like death-is-coming serious, but not terribly happy, either. Contemplative and resolved on what she's about to speak of, she gives direct eye contact and all of her attention to her NV. ] So. I'm unaffiliated with SERO, unaffiliated with AGI, and quite frankly? I don't care about the politics around here that much most of the time. Only politician I ever had direct contact with turned himself into a giant snake-demon, and the rest of the government turned out pretty dangerous... Left me with a lack-of-fuzzies for the higher-up types. But right now? Pretty happy about it. But there's the whole hinky-funkiness about all of this, and I don't think the streets are going to be 100% neutrality-friendly for awhile. If anybody feels like they need extra protection, I'm your gal.

What I'm offering is basically half-priced bodyguarding. The climate around here isn't warm and cuddly as it is, but with the added bonus of factiony tension, I get that some people probably aren't feeling as secure as they could. I'm also going to hold a few free-for-all self-defense classes this weekend, if anyone wants to come. Saturday at two in the afternoon, Sunday at three. As it happens, however, I'm a little out of practice at navigating this particular turn.
