Double Homicide Reveals Secret Lab
The offices of HaferkampTriltSwift, a subsidiary of SERO, were swarmed with police this morning after a double murder lead to a hidden laboratory being discovered under the building. Officers entering the laboratory uncovered eleven human test subjects kept in substandard conditions. The individuals were taken to SERO hospital for treatment, where they will be questioned by police.
An attending officer reported “It looks like Haferkamp was killed by one of the test machines they used on those poor bastards – some kind of drill. His torso was left mostly intact though, laid out on the floor and with one arm pointing to the back room. They wanted us to find it, whoever did this.”
The body of Tom Swift was found within the laboratory. He had received dozens of wounds inflicted by medical equipment and even his desktop computer. “He was only alone in the room half an hour tops, and it's not like he was defenseless – Tom was a pretty decent telekinetic. I don't get how they got in and out without the CCTV showing them up. It's a complete mystery” security guard Salome Cotton commented.
SPPD are said to be investigating the possibility that this was backlash for the two recent murders of AGI agents.
The surviving founder of the company, Abram Trilt, was taken into police protection, but our man on the scene recorded him as claiming “It's not AGI – it's the Newcomers you need to be watching. They're out for all of us.” Mr. Trilt had allegedly been suffering symptoms of paranoia since injuries sustained last month in a freak Darkness incident.
HTS stocks have fallen this morning, due to the hit on the medical research company's supposedly-ethical image.
