Source of Culpa Flu Discovered!

Police released a statement early Tuesday morning that they had arrested Jaime Ragusa, CEO of the nanotechnology company Ragusa, Inc., in connection with the spread of the deadly virus ravaging Siren's Port for the past two weeks. Ragusa, who has worked with SERO in the past and recently avoided a murder trial, donated a large sum of money to the Church of Jonova in April. The police believe Ragusa and the church planned the virus ahead of time to stage the faith healing that saved people from the guilt related symptoms of the virus and earned Jonova many converts.

[The headline article is long, and details the conspiracy behind the virus. All the ushers of "Patient Zero"'s wedding were employees of Ragusa, Inc., and are believed to have infected the wedding guests through the ventilation system. The micromachines are believed to have attached themselves to neurons in the brain, creating a symbiosis with the virus and the lobe responsible for the emotion of "guilt." There is a statement from brain surgeon and Newcomer Dr. Kenzo Tenma, affirming this information after discovering this in his patients.

It is believed the outbreak was only intended for attendees of the Church of Jonova in order to boost faith among its followers, but the leaders of the congregation did not have the technical experience of their donors, leading to the epidemic. The higher ups of the church were aware of the nature of the virus the whole time, but cashed in on the relief caused by the symbiosis when empathy counteracted the guilt. Ragusa, Inc. had a prepared cure, a psychiatric drug made with SERO components, waiting, but the agreement with the church kept it from being released before their scheduled faith healings and mass prayer unions. Though no arrests have been made in the Church yet, it is expected, and the reporter notes that the public should cry for it.

The police refused to take any questions, but there is word around the SPPD that the investigation was not broken by the police, but by two Newcomer detectives that have previously worked with police in collaring several murderers, such as "Lefty" Luis this past November. Sherlock Holmes, who lists his occupation only as "consulting detective," and Dr. John Watson of Skye Medical. They could not be reached for comment, and on trying to get a statement from Mr. Holmes, I was threatened with a beating using a violin bow.

[The reporter goes on to express doubts on how people like this could crack a case of this magnitude, and criticizes the police department if such is the case.]
