- A slow but steady increase in seismic activity was reported early this morning, minor tremors which (for once) do not appear to be causally linked to rising levels of Core activity. At 2:30 PM, Siren’s Port experienced another minor quake, which rattled anything hanging on the walls or shelves for about 30 seconds.

- Nightclub owner and former Felton actress Jinx was detained earlier this morning for very blatantly robbing a bank. The recently engaged newcomer was spotted, by both witnesses and security cameras, walking into First Bank of Siren’s Port in an interesting costume and holding a scepter.

"I complimented Miss Jinx's cape and asked her what Purgatory was doing tonight," said security guard Frank Boles during an interview. "She hit me and told everyone to get on the ground."

Authorities say they spent half an hour negotiating the release of hostages with her before they sent in a Void to diffuse the situation. Jinx resisted arrest and tried to escape holding a money-filled burlap sack with a dollar symbol painted on it. The 20-year-old was eventually caught. She was quoted as screaming, "You can't hold me forever, fools!" as she was handcuffed and led to a squad car.

The only thing worse than her crime, released hostages say, were her "terrible puns."

Good morning, Canada! [ she settles back against her pillow and wiggles her fingers in a wave, hair pushing up around her face. ]

So I've been here for a month. (I know, I can't believe it either!) So for a while, I was thinking, "Wow, this place still completely and totally sucks!" And it does. It so does.

But, you know, for the last week, I've been feeling pretty better about having to stay in Siren's Port. I guess I've just been meeting some really nice people or something to keep my mood up. But what about you guys? What do you like about it here?

[ there's a pause and then she grins big: ]

By the way, does anyone want to go for a drink later?

[The video is shaking when it first turns on so that it isn't quite clear what's in the picture. It's pointing toward the basement floor, where there's a smear of blood, then it turns all the way around and a flickering light bulb catches the edge of the frame.

Then there's Jesse. His face is twisted up in terror, his free hand raised to conceal a wound on his forehead. He's trying to stop the bleeding but there's already so much blood streaked down his face.

When he speaks, it comes in a hoarse whisper as if he's lost his voice. And he seems to think this is a private message. It's meant for Lisbeth, but in his panic, he's posted to the network instead.]

Don't come home. You hear me? Don't come here.

[He isn't looking at the NV when he says that. His eyes are darting around the room. He's looking wildly from shadow to shadow, expecting something to appear.]

There's nothing quite like disturbed sleep to shake someone up, but in this case it's an epidemic of pride that's made Sylar look as unhinged as he does. He's looking for a fight--or at least looking for one that he can win. Which is why he's somewhere very recognisable and open; the baseball diamond. ]

[ He laughs. ] Like the real world works that way. I'll give you a clue, it doesn't. _{[When slender fingers turn on the feed, the network is greeted with a rather sour look from the port's resident mermaid. While pouting is nothing new from her, the backdrop is - she's clearly no longer at the docks or even at the beaches. No, Syrena seems to be in a whitewash room, medical charts strung about the walls. She's also no longer topless, wearing what appears to be a hospital gown.]}

They will not let me leave.

_{[Who is 'they'? Why the doctors of course. Syrena shifts as she sits, setting her NV on her knees (yes knees), the angle allowing those who are watching a clear view of what she seems to be stuck in - a wheelchair.]}

When the wave crashed it carried me to shore. I was stuck on the beach and a man and a woman came and took me away to this place. They would not return me to the sea. They said my legs were broken when they are not. They are simply useless. They do not hurt. They are fine.

_{[There's an annoyed huff, fingers gripping the NV.]}

I am not allowed to leave, they say, because I do not know what things are and cannot walk. Of course I do not know what human things are, I am not human. I do not know how to use this device which they forced me to sit in. I do not wish to use it. I do not like this place with its white walls and disgusting smells and sounds.

I cannot stand to suffer here and be touched and poked by people any longer. I already bit one man's fingers - he is lucky to still have them. I must escape from this 'hospital'.

[You may experience some vertigo. That is as the camera spins dizzily, glimpses of the ground, night sky and surrounding buildings passing by at speed. It's obvious the NV's owner is up high, the NV itself maybe tucked into a belt or waistband.

Why the view is so dizzying becomes apparent with the appearance of a group of Icarus monsters, clearly on the attack. Not that it seems to be doing them any good, there is a twist of shadow that seems darker than the night sky, highlighted by hellish red as if embers burn within it. One minute it's a twisted bat wing and then a host of sharp blades.

It's cutting the Icarus to shreds; entrails, hands, heads go flying in a gorey display. Then there's a sudden sharp turn.

One of the monsters has gotten up close, arms and entrails gone but wings and mouth intact, still determined to eat. It lunges in for a bite before slim hands catch between it's jaws.]

SOD OFF!

[Seras grips its upper and lower jaws, the sound is terrible from the beast as she pries its mouth open wider and wider until finally the upper jaw and skull go flying off in a spray of blood that obscures the camera.]
