Pirate attempts to storm the docks
Last evening, just before the Sirens, a teenager dressed like a pirate ran onto the Sector 11 docks, swinging a steel pot and yelling "I mean to kill you all!" By the time police arrived at the scene, the boy was already gone. The dock workers claim he intended to "shanghai" them but that he had no means of threatening them outside of shouting bizarre insults.

Haunted Rocking Chair for Free Giveaway to a Compassionate, Spirit-Friendly Home
We inherited this antique and family heirloom from an aunt who recently passed, but can’t deal with this any longer. This 100 year old rocking chair is an original from the Missionsworth colony predating Siren’s Port’s modern settlement. It is inhabited by a spirit who will rock for hours on end, and crochet odds and ends when yarn is left out for it. Multiple attempts to exorcise the spirit from this object have failed. We would like to give the rocking chair to a new owner, preferably someone who can keep this old ghost company. Please contact Madge Greyson at Greyson Orchards office extension #56-772

This place feels like a dream I've returned to.

[The video is focused on the buildings around the baseball field, including the Newcomer Apartments. The feed is steady, steady enough to almost feel like it was on a tripod before it turns at a sharp angle because, nope, someone's actually holding it.]

It doesn't feel like this place has changed at all. Or maybe it has. But I'd reckon more things have changed for me than Siren's Port.

I'm- [He pauses for a moment. Director seemed superfluous without the Academy there, and all his other titles were only for the Academy's sake.] Hope Estheim. I don't know how long it's been since I was last here, but for me...

It's been twelve years.

[Hey, finally, he moves the camera so that it's actually focused on him.]

I don't suppose there is an Alyssa Zaidelle here.

[The NV is focused on the face of a blond teenager dressed in 17th century clothing, who is clutching the device and frowning, turning the camera about and jostling it. A brief shot of his belt comes up, and he seems have what some may recognize as the Sector Four merchants' stolen inventory tucked into his trousers.]

So, do I just talk into this thing?

Hello! Testing! One! Two! Save the whales!

[More jostling and he finally decides the device is indeed working. He is looking down into it.]

Hello, Siren's Port! I'm Guybrush Threepwood, mighty pirate!

I uh....I like your city! It's neat.

[He laughs nervously.]

Kinda terrifying, but neat.

I can’t stick around, though, I have piratey business to attend to. You guys can help! I’ll need a fine crew to help me find a way off this creepy island! I have a plan and it should work but it involves some twine, two clock radios, the biggest mirror in Siren’s Port™ aaannnd...

[He taps the side of his head thoughtfully]

...a diversion consisting of monkeys and fireworks.

[A small grin]

So, c'mon, men, let's help me get out of here in time for dinner! Please? I can pay you with all the booty on my ship! …Which is probably at the bottom of the ocean by now…

[exasperated sigh]

[The NV flicks on, propped up on a table, focused on Loki who sits cross legged on the floor, a baby sling across his chest. The sling is occupied by a lump that is invisible to most, save for a hot pink mohawk and a hot pink collar with a little silver hammer shaped tag dangling from it. The hellhound looks plump and happy to everyone who can see her.]

This- [He speaks with his head bent over the hellhound] -is Thora. Say hello, Thora-

[He helps her wave a faintly pink paw at the NV and she tries to nip his fingers in retaliation]

She's kind of the best hellhound ever. [In that condescending way only thirteen year old boys are capable of. And then suddenly serious, green fire in his eyes] And if anyone were to harm her, I would put their insides onto their outsides and join her in having a nibble. Just saying.

[And then that jovial demeanor returns again.] I've been learning much about the mortal world thanks to Google- the browser of webs. But so much information conflicts. I wish to know more. Midgard and humans are so different than what I always thought.

[When the feed turns on, Castiel's expression is neutral, but almost too much so. Like it's all an act.

It's clear why when he speaks.]

Crowley is dead.

[And a pause, and Castiel's entire countenance changes; he draws himself up, his eyes harden, and he looks angry in the way only an angel can. Cold and dangerous and terrible and awe inspiring all at once, even over the NV.]

When I find out who is responsible for this, I will destroy them. And I will find out.

[He doesn't bother with anything more, simply cutting the feed with a click.]

Good evening, everyone. First of all I'd like to thank everyone who has submitted something to the Out of the Darkness project thus far. Submissions are open indefinitely, so I strongly encourage everyone to consider making a post and to spread the word as much as possible.

Secondly, the Community Center has been offered as a location to hold support group meetings for those who have suffered losses in the Port. If anyone is still interested, please let me know what day and time suits you best, so we can coordinate a schedule.

[He takes a breath.] Now, without further ado, here are today's Out of the Darkness submissions. The second submission mentions suicide, so please bear that in mind before reading.
