NewsHistory Comes Alive at the Longfellow MuseumYesterday at 2:00 pm, strange security reports from within the Chester Longfellow Natural History Museum indicated that tableau models in all 26 exhibit halls came to life, causing rampant chaos in the museum and beyond. As museum goers evacuated, hid, chatted up their favorite historical figures or looked on in wonder, several of these animated models spilled into the streets of Sector 3.
A small fire broke out on the second floor, a cannonball tore through a wall, the museum suffered some cosmetic damage as well as destruction of its front doors, the cafeteria and gift shop reported looting, but far more worrisome is the loss of most runaway exhibit content.
Among these, the animated bones in the hall of dinosaurs caused the most damages to both the museum lobby and several cars parked on the street outside. The T-Rex was sighted carrying off at least one struggling victim, and vikings were seen lighting a bonfire elsewhere in the sector.
Mrs. Hastfur’s 3rd grade class was taking a field trip to the planetarium when they were divided between exhibit halls, caught between a battle of scaled down Chinese terracotta warriors and models of Attila the Hun and his Mongolian horde. Still, several enthusiastic students, after recovering from a breathless evacuation and counting off with their parent chaperons, informed the morning news that “the best field trip ever!” and that they enjoyed seeing the wild animals and cavemen come to life especially.
The ultimate cause of this chaos is unknown, but SPPD suspects some kind of magical prank, or an unintentional effect on uncontrolled powers, likely a child coming into them, or a newcomer.
Thanks to a generous repair grant from SERO and AGI, the museum is able to offer a negotiable cash reward for the return of any of its missing property. According to several reports, the models became lifeless again after siren, so they will not require difficult capture so much as honest citizens coming forward.- Alexander Slavkov, a doctor at St. Teresa's, was killed yesterday evening by a rogue driver after stepping out of a cab. According to reports, the car that hit him was his own vehicle, a red corvette, that had been stolen from the lot at St. Teresa's a week ago. Alexander Slavkov was one of the doctors that had been charged with looking after the Joker and authorities strongly suspect the dangerous Newcomer of being the rogue driver.
