[So it does happen on occasion that Sora likes to play Sherlock. This particular evening, inspiration strikes while in the midst of training exercises in the woods (taught to him some time ago by a certain blue haired master). His hair's a little mussed, outfit slightly askew. But here's something new! Sora's sporting some new duds: At the moment, his left arm's covered in what appears to be some well-crafted armor.]

I've been thinking... Back in my world, there used to things called Gates that helped get you from place to place. Thing is, they weren't all that easy to find, and they didn't just open for anybody or for any reason.

Only, if I'm right, I just might know a way to make this work!

[Hence, his next question. It's completely relevant to the previous matter, he promises:]

What's most important to you? What's something you guys just can't go without?

[Tell the sixteen year old about your precious items, Siren's Port. So he can ask to see it. Toss it in the air. Point a weapon at it.]

[Mostly material things, he thinks to himself. But Siren's Port has always been unpredictable: it could be people, places. Better to cover all his bases.]

[Hmm. Now to give an example:] I remember back home, there was this membership card my friends gave me: "Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee". They'd made me an honorary member. It had my name on it and everything.

Yeah. Stuff you can hold, things you can see and touch. Friendship is important, but it won't work for what I've got in mind.

I'd say my most precious possession is an item I have from home. It's all I have left to remind of where I came from after all.

'Important' as in, you care a lot about it.

It could be anything. A person, a place or a thing. [Typically the items that opened up the gates were all material objects, but finding one could lead to the other.] Maybe it's something you brought to the Port that reminds you of home, or maybe it's something you're trying to keep safe.

[O...kay...Roxas is mystified about what this is all about. Normally he'd keep his puzzlement to himself, but in the wake of their long conversation at Kahve, he's actually feeling secure enough to ask:]

[A pause as he switches to private. Did she know about the Gates too?]

Mmm... we only ever called them Gates. I don't think there were any other names for em'. But they were really useful.

They helped me, Donald and Goofy get between worlds. Sometimes we'd get stuck in places we couldn't get out of... but finding really special items that opened up those gates meant we could travel freely again.

Does that make sense?

A way to leave Siren's Port! If I could find the item that opens up the Gate here in the city, it could be our ticket out!

But first I need to find the right item.

[A nod.] You got it. Usually they're objects, like cards or ice cream or even a Santa Suit! So long as they're important to somebody, or have really strong memories attached to em'.

Well, the key to opening a gate was to find the object that opened it. Most of the time, when me and Donald and Goofy found one of those items, it turned out to be really important to that world, or to somebody on it.

If I can find one of those items in the Port, I might be able to get us all out of here.

What I'm looking for is usually an item, yeah. But sometimes, it's the important people who end up leading you right to what you need to find.

[Sora peers through the screen, gazing at the necklace. It's simple, nothing ornate. But it looks special somehow, anyway.]

Wow... where'd you get something like that?

Your Doctor? [Not a very usual answer!] Do you get sick pretty often?

Yeah. Siren's Port isn't bad sometimes, but I kinda feel like we've all been here too long, you know?

[Well, that does sound like an interesting theory... Angeal what are you getting into.]

Definitely something physical -- it's gotta be something here in Port or it won't work-- but the most important thing is that it's gotta have a lots of meaning, or has really important memories attached to it.

It's like this thing you unlock. Like a teleport! It gets you to your ship... then lets you travel from world to world.

[No use in hiding the fact that multiple worlds exist when most of the population in Siren's Port already knows as much.]

It's definitely not the space... time... rip thing. That's some kind of time travel right??
