[So it does happen on occasion that Sora likes to play Sherlock. This particular evening, inspiration strikes while in the midst of training exercises in the woods (taught to him some time ago by a certain blue haired master). His hair's a little mussed, outfit slightly askew. But here's something new! Sora's sporting some new duds: At the moment, his left arm's covered in what appears to be some well-crafted armor.]

I've been thinking... Back in my world, there used to things called Gates that helped get you from place to place. Thing is, they weren't all that easy to find, and they didn't just open for anybody or for any reason.

Only, if I'm right, I just might know a way to make this work!

[Hence, his next question. It's completely relevant to the previous matter, he promises:]

What's most important to you? What's something you guys just can't go without?

[Tell the sixteen year old about your precious items, Siren's Port. So he can ask to see it. Toss it in the air. Point a weapon at it.]

[It'll turn out just fine.]

['Now' is a relative term of course, since Gohan's been here for almost a year now.]

[A year plus two weeks, actually. The day that should have been February 3rd marked his one year point.]

Yeah. I mean, there's breaks in between for a year or two or three, but it's really dangerous right now. We're a few days away from seeing if we can put a stop to this one. [Again, with time being relative. But it had been only a week or less before the final showdown with Cell was supposed to happen.]

[He leans a little closer to the NV. Sounds like everyone's in hot water.]

Do you think you guys are ready for it? What kinda guy is going after the Dragonballs this time?

Dad seems pretty sure we're ready for it. [Even though he says that he probably can't win. Which continues to make no sense to Gohan.]

Actually . . . this one doesn't care about the Dragonballs. He pretty much wants to destroy everything. After he proves he's stronger than all of us.

This guy sounds like a real tool! I'm sure you guys'll teach him a lesson he won't forget.

[He's only ever met villains with insidious goals, thirst for power or something they've gone without and want back. But absolute destruction? What's there to gain? Nothing.]

[A couple of blinks, and then an outright amused laugh at calling Cell a "tool." It seems like such a mild insult for someone intent on destroying the world and more.]

Yeah, I'm sure we'll figure something out. We always have, against some pretty long odds.

[The total destruction thing? Probably for the ego trip. As if Cell's ego needs to be bigger.]
