He's in his office at Merlotte's, gathering up files, folders...] - wanted to let everybody know to come down to Merlotte's tonight, we've got a few stand-up comics hired for the night show and some drink specials. I won't be there though, I've got to meet with some people about gettin' a loan, but I've got someone I used to work with at Club 24 coverin' for me tonight. She's real sweet, so I want ya'll to make her feel welcome, okay? - And don't think this means you can act up in the club; I'll still be back to kick ya'll in the ass tomorrow if you do.

[he grabs his keys, waves at the NV and sets it face-down on his desk. There's a muffled conversation, and soon after a woman picks the NV up and smirks]

...Hey there. I'm Sandra - I'll be watchin' the bar for Sam tonight. Hope to see you all in.

[Joe's not quite ready to start talking to Sam again just yet- it's still powerfully awkward, after the terms he left on. But... hnh. Sandra? He doesn't remember her from 24. Maybe that was before he got hired on.

Maybe he'll slip in tonight, with Sam gone. Just to see how they've been getting by without him.]

[welp, if he does come by, he'll see the stage being set up for a comedian's set, and a woman in her late thirties helping out the bartender.

...She looks up at Joe as if she recognizes him, but quickly glances away]

Yeah, sure. [lala, going out of the office as if to check the floor for him - but oh, such a pouty face]

Oh, I think he's left. He said he was running late. Didn't think he'd forget his NV though. Damn.

[ Well whatever he can spare an hour, and with Sam not in it's actually a perfect excuse to poke around. Maybe gripe that Sam would go to anyone else to get a loan without asking his so called 'friends' first. And hit on his barstaff--he did have a thing for blondes.

So the vampire slides quietly to the bar, tapping his fingers over the top of it in a long-dead rhythm. ]

[she looks up in utter surprised - she'd smelled a vampire. She didn't think it would be Eric. Oh holy shit.

...Holy shit, this is perfect.

The smile that comes is perfectly natural, even if the reason behind it isn't what Eric's going to think at all.] You hit on all your bartenders like that?

[Hmmm, a Club 24 person. AGI then? Why would Sam trust her?]

[As he comes in to work that evening, Jack raises an eyebrow. New hire? That's not so weird; it's not as if Sam consults him before giving people a job. But it is weird she's on duty tonight; it's the busiest shift, after all, and even for someone experienced that can be a bit overwhelming.

Still, no time for thinking; Jack sighs and slips behind the bar, ending up alongside her.]

Got a name, darlin', or am I just supposed to call you newbie?

[oh what. Sam-the-currently-female arches a brow in three parts amusement, one part insult. The amusement wins out, but shes leeeeaning on the bar and looking Jack over.]

Well, why don't we just stick with boss for tonight?

[Jesse misses the announcement. He's busy setting up the sound equipment and checking mics. But look at him, working extra diligently to make up for getting into a fight the other day. He still looks like shit, by the way.]

[Samn sneaks up behind him, hands behind her back - she's in a fashionable little business-skirt-and-blouse combo Lucifer whipped up for her April Fooling.] You feelin' any better?

[Lucifer waits for her at the end of the bar.]

"Sandra" smiles when she sees the scruffy gentleman come in, flashing a smile his way and nodding in greeting] Evenin'.

[What the hell is this door, this is not the coffee shop. Mary just sighs and closes the door behind her before walking up to the bar, resigned to figuring out where in the city she is. Hopefully it isn't far from where she started.]

[and MAry gets this bartender's attention - but for a completely different reason than her prank. Heya, Mary.

He's still got his security. But maybe it was important business.

[This is not at all where Castiel means to end up.

He'd been minding his own business, trying to go through the door to his room, and bam. Somewhere else. But at least it's a bar, so he could've ended up worse places, and he doesn't leave just yet. Instead he drifts over to the bar itself to see what it has to offer.]

[While Sam is busy at the bar flirting and pranking, Lucifer slips away to find Castiel when he feels him enter the building.]

[he reaches over and pours Castiel an appletini.]

[Sirius isn't working tonight, actually, but only because April Fool's is practically a sacred holiday for a Marauder, even one not doing quite as much Marauding today as he has on other holidays long past. This is a holiday for relaxation, nothing complex--admiring the handiwork of other more junior pranksters, with only a few small and special tricks pulled--and his meandering has brought him here. Which really, he ought to be against going in to work when he isn't meant to be working--but he has to wait for Jack somewhere, and they have Things to Do after this, so why not wait at the club?

And now here is a very good reason indeed to wait at the club. A new hire--a really lovely new hire, actually--and Jack is nowhere in sight and anyway he has loads of time left on his shift, wherever he is, so Sirius sidles up to the bar and leans on it, observing said lovely new hire for a few appreciative moments.]
