♱ 8 - Accidental Video ♱
[ Good afternoon, everyone. Please, enjoy your view of one Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, standing in the kitchen of the Stoker Manor, her blazer off, white sleeved shirt covered by the... pink apron she's wearing.
What is she doing, you might ask? She's attempting to cook, and by the looks of the kitchen, which is now a complete and utter DISASTER, she's not doing well.
Grumbling something, the heiress simply stares over at the stove, watching as the water she put on it just sort of boils over, along with the stupid spaghetti she put in it far too early. She continues staring for a moment, as though she really can't believe that this is happening, before she finally moves to turn the stove off.
In the process, however, she steps in some of the water that has boiled over onto the floor [fortunately, she's got shoes on!] and slides across it, having to rather ungracefully grapple onto the counter top to stay on her feet. This also sets off a chain reaction; a few of the jars that were on the counter are knocked down, crashing loudly onto the floor, sending whatever was in them splattering all over the place. ]
For fucks sake-- [ Fortunately, it is at this point the feed decides to end. ]

I'll be right down.
[And as promised, a few minutes later Soma is downstairs. It may be a note that he's being surprisingly casual, in only a tank top and jeans. Or it may not.]
What are you trying to do?
[ Action]
...Well, I was attempting to make spaghetti. As you can see, it clearly did not end well.
[ Action]
Um... yeah, I can see that.
[He went to work then, dumping the sadly unsalvageable noodles and boiling water into the sink, before refilling the pot and covering it to let the fresh water boil.]
Have you ever cooked before?
[ Action]
No, I haven't. Walter always did everything at home, he wouldn't let me near the kitchen.
[ ...She hadn't meant to let that 'did' slip; she'd meant to say DOES... well. Too little, too late. ]
[ Action]
He should have let you in a couple times, if only so you don't burn water.
[ Action]
[ She blinks, throwing all of the disting mess into the garbage, before shrugging. She'd practically begged Walter at one point, but he'd insisted that the 'lady of the house' sit and relax while he did the work, that it was not her place. ]
Ah... well. He did not think it was my place to be in the kitchen. My place was behind my desk.
[ Action]
It's just an expression.
[He paused as a bubbling sound started to come from the pot, carefully lifting and peering under the lid a couple times, before lifting it off and putting the noodles in. He reached over, turning down the heat, before taking a moment to locate a clean wooden spoon to stir the softening noodles.]
Maybe so, but everyone should have some cooking skills.
[ Action]
Now that she was done cleaning up, she just sort of slid behind Soma and peered over his shoulder, watching what he was doing curiously. ]
Yes, I suppose so... it would certainly come in handy.
[ And, she's grimly realized, she'll be needing to learn because at home, she'd be on her own now. ]
[ Action]
Here. Noodles are really easy. You need to put the noodles in once the water starts really boiling, then turn the heat down. Stir every now and then, so the noodles don't stick to the bottom.
[ Action]
She cannot, however, cook. She looked like a deer in the headlights for a moment when he offered her the spoon, but she took it and stared down into the boiling water, eyes narrowing at it as though to say bring it on, spaghetti. ]
I see.
[ Except she really didn't. Anxiety filled her as she began to stir at the noodles as though her life depended on it, because really... she didn't need it boiling over on her AGAIN. Really, this cooking thing was for the birds... ]
Re: [ Action]
No, gently, like this.
[He held onto her hand, guiding her in gently stirring up the noodles, pausing a moment, stirring again; rinse, repeat.]
[ Action]
She finally allowed her grip to loosen ever so slightly, however, when she felt his hand enclose around hers. It was comforting in a way, and for a brief moment, she felt as though now she couldn't mess it up. ]
Oh. Forgive me, I suppose I'm not used to doing things gently.
[ Action]
[He smiled gently, keeping his hand over hers, but he stopped the stirring.]
Here, you continue.
[ Action]
[ She peered up at Soma for a moment when she felt him stop stirring, but she offered him a small smile in return, before turning back to the pot. She carefully began to stir it, just as he'd shown her, and she found much better results this way. ]
This isn't so hard after all.
[ Action]
[He allowed himself a grin, before moving away, feeling like it was safe to get the sauce started.]
Cooking isn't that difficult. It's just important not to panic and over do things.
[ Action]
[ She continued carefully stirring the noodles, her gaze once again fixed on the pot. Like hell she'd take her eyes off of the damned thing now. ]
I suppose so. Hn, even so, you and Walter make it look easier than it truly is.
[ Action]
[He poured the sauce in a pan, before shuffling over to the fridge and locating a green and red bell pepper. He brought them back, cutting up half each before dumping them in the sauce and moving the pan to another burner.]
I've picked up a thing or two.
As for Alucard, I just hope what he did doesn't come back to bite me... no pun intended.
[ Action]
[ She continued stirring her noodles, glancing over and watching Soma with the sauce. Really, this whole cooking thing was so new to her, every little thing seemed to interest her. ]
Do you think it will?
[ Action]
[He shifted the pan around to the shift the sauce, before taking another wooden spoon and stirring it around.]
[ Action]
[ Because she'd kill the damned vampire if they had to start again with poor Soma. Well, maybe not KILL, but she'd maim him and blow off certain parts of his anatomy to the point where it would take him days to regenerate them, if she had to. ]
[ Action]
[ Action]
[ ...of course, the last time she'd asked him not to take the young man out, he'd called Soma her boyfriend. Her eye twitches a bit at the memory. ]
Even so, I think you're doing remarkably well.
[ Action]
[He paused, tilting his head.]
...he's kinda like a little kid.
[He didn't respond to the compliment, though his face did pink a little.]
[ Action]
[ She hummed, before shrugging. ]
...Now you're just being far too kind to him.
[ She offered Soma another small smile, before pausing. ]
Ah, that reminds me. I went and bought a copy of that movie I was telling you about, Jaws. Would you like to watch it with me tonight?
[ Action]
[Soma paused a moment.]
...we're not going to the beach tomorrow, right?
