[ Good afternoon, everyone. Please, enjoy your view of one Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, standing in the kitchen of the Stoker Manor, her blazer off, white sleeved shirt covered by the... pink apron she's wearing.

What is she doing, you might ask? She's attempting to cook, and by the looks of the kitchen, which is now a complete and utter DISASTER, she's not doing well.

Grumbling something, the heiress simply stares over at the stove, watching as the water she put on it just sort of boils over, along with the stupid spaghetti she put in it far too early. She continues staring for a moment, as though she really can't believe that this is happening, before she finally moves to turn the stove off.

In the process, however, she steps in some of the water that has boiled over onto the floor [fortunately, she's got shoes on!] and slides across it, having to rather ungracefully grapple onto the counter top to stay on her feet. This also sets off a chain reaction; a few of the jars that were on the counter are knocked down, crashing loudly onto the floor, sending whatever was in them splattering all over the place. ]

For fucks sake-- [ Fortunately, it is at this point the feed decides to end. ]

Well, no matter what it is... I'm glad that it isn't bothering you.

[ PFFT. She won't make fun of him... right now, at least. His boost in confidence really did please her. It was nice to see him not acting nervously, or to see worry on his face. ]

I guess I'm just getting used to it.

[He offered her a smile.]

Guess I just needed someone to drag me out every now and then.

[ She smiled as well; this time, it wasn't faint. Tugging her free hand from her pocket, she reached up to lightly pat the arm her own arm was looped around, and she sighed. ]

I'm glad, then, that I could help, even a little.

[He let out a small laugh, a bit of a fond expression coming to his face.]

[ Integra really couldn't explain why she felt so happy; it wasn't often, at least at home, that she could find a reason to feel such a way. But to have Soma, someone she considered a close friend, acting so confidently and happy with himself... well, she supposed it just rubbed off onto her. ]

I think that, perhaps, I should be thanking you, too.

[Soma blinked at that, raising an eyebrow.]

Why's that?

[ Integra blinked as well, before shrugging and glancing off to the side. She wasn't good with this sort of thing; yelling and screaming and shouting orders, yes, but sincere... things. No. ]

...Because you gave me a purpose again. If it wasn't for you, I'd be holed up in the house constantly. Not to mention you are the first real friend I have made here.

[Soma just... kind of blinked at that, trying to picture Integra as she was implying. He really couldn't; she was just... so strong and confident, and... pretty much stuck around a bunch of creepy people that had issues. He slipped his hand out of his pocket, resting it over hers.]

[ She wanted to add that he wasn't the first and only friend she'd made here, but... well. Even at home, she hadn't bothered to even attempt friendships. The only friends she had were, naturally, her vampires and Walter. But they were more like family.

When she felt his hand resting over hers, she finally glanced back up at him, and offered him a small smile again. ]

So, thank you, Soma.

[ Her cheeks had tinted the faintest color of pink; it was a good thing she hadn't noticed because she'd have been mortified. She was also realizing that while this stupid place had it's bad qualities... it had, in her opinion, more good qualities. Here, she had her family, including a blood relative she never dreamed she'd get to meet, and now even a friend. At home...

...at home, she had death and destruction and terror because she'd failed the people of London.

The thought of staying here really wasn't all that bad. ]

I can honestly say that I am glad to be here.
