So, does it snow like that here often? 'Cause, I mean, if it does, then I guess I could be a little better prepared, you know? Warm clothes and stuff. Probably could stock up on food too. [That last bit is sort of mumbled to himself]

Speaking of clothes and food and stuff -- plus, I don't wanna be a freeloader too much longer -- I think it's probably time I got a job or something. This is probably gonna sound stupid to some people, but I'm not even sure where to start looking. I mean, I'm not even really sure what I'm good at, as far as job skills and things go. Well, I know what I'm good at and everything, I'm just not really sure how it would apply or anything.

[He lays the NV on his bed next to him, so it's just pointed up toward the ceiling now. It's not a bad ceiling. Finn's spent a lot of time looking at it]

I feel sorta useless and changing that would be kinda nice.

[ She tries to snap but her voice breaks and she's annoyed with herself. This is the second time Finn sees her crying in the course of less than two weeks. ]

I pray to them, every minute, to get us out of here. All of us. If they're stuck here it means they can't help. So they're not here, they're not.

[Finn's eyes simply drop to the floor and he clenches his jaw so tightly it hurts. It's all to keep himself from arguing with her more. She has to know it's true, though, that he's right about this]

Maybe they're not actually stuck here like we are or something.

Finn -

[ by now her voice is pleading. ]

Just - they aren't here.

[Finn looks up at Quinn again. He wants to tell her that maybe the angels are there to help them already, but doesn't that get proven as a lie since they're... not being helped?]

Quinn, look-- [He pauses. He can't do that to her. He stands up and moves closer to her, just wrapping his arms around her shoulders. He doesn't say anything though. He's not going to take back what he said. He's sure they'd both know that, at the very least, he'd think he was lying]

[ She smiles up gratefully at him. He's right, she knows. Maybe in a few week she could admit it to herself and to him. ]

If you don't stop growing taller I'll never be able to hug you again.

[Finn straightens and smiles almost sheepishly down at Quinn, his arms still loosely around her shoulders]

It's kinda actually harder to stop than you might think.

What do eat to get this tall?

I don't know. [He laughs] I just eat what my mom makes for me.

Her food really is good.

I think she put in a little extra effort while you were there.

She was very sweet to me.

[ this smile. ]

Mom always did like you. She also liked having a girl in the house.

[Plus, there's the fact that she thought Quinn was carrying her grandchild...]

She's not so tall though. I suppose your father was the tall one.

I don't know. Maybe. We always had pictures and stuff so she never really talked a lot about what he looked like.

My mom threw out all the picture of my dad. After the - you know. All the drama.

Tell me if it's not cool that I'm even asking, but what happened anyway? With your mom and your dad, I mean.

[ She sighs but shrugs. ]

Dad cheated. Mom threw him out.

...oh. [Does he sound surprised? That's probably because he's totally surprised. He saw the way mother Fabray refused to stand up to father Fabray] Well, um, good for your mom.

I know, that's a first -

[ She laughs. It's really ironic that cheating was what it took. ]

She's selfish but - you know, she's mom.

Your mom seems, I don't know, better I guess, now that she's not with your dad anymore.

She is. She doesn't drink anymore and she's...I don't know. She cares.

Uh, do you still see your dad? Or is he just, well, gone?

He's gone. It's better like that. You remember what he told me, back then. At that day.

[ She meets his gaze, biting her lip. That day will never leave her, probably.

Who are you? I don't know who you are? ]

I just thought maybe-- Never mind. [He shakes his head and laughs a little bitterly] I don't think I could ever forget that dinner with your parents.

[ She moves past him, to organize her things, since she can't look at him. ]

I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Finn. For that. For everything.
