So, does it snow like that here often? 'Cause, I mean, if it does, then I guess I could be a little better prepared, you know? Warm clothes and stuff. Probably could stock up on food too. [That last bit is sort of mumbled to himself]

Speaking of clothes and food and stuff -- plus, I don't wanna be a freeloader too much longer -- I think it's probably time I got a job or something. This is probably gonna sound stupid to some people, but I'm not even sure where to start looking. I mean, I'm not even really sure what I'm good at, as far as job skills and things go. Well, I know what I'm good at and everything, I'm just not really sure how it would apply or anything.

[He lays the NV on his bed next to him, so it's just pointed up toward the ceiling now. It's not a bad ceiling. Finn's spent a lot of time looking at it]

I feel sorta useless and changing that would be kinda nice.

[ She sighs but shrugs. ]

Dad cheated. Mom threw him out.

...oh. [Does he sound surprised? That's probably because he's totally surprised. He saw the way mother Fabray refused to stand up to father Fabray] Well, um, good for your mom.

[ She laughs. It's really ironic that cheating was what it took. ]

She's selfish but - you know, she's mom.

Your mom seems, I don't know, better I guess, now that she's not with your dad anymore.

She is. She doesn't drink anymore and she's...I don't know. She cares.

He's gone. It's better like that. You remember what he told me, back then. At that day.

[ She meets his gaze, biting her lip. That day will never leave her, probably.

I just thought maybe-- Never mind. [He shakes his head and laughs a little bitterly] I don't think I could ever forget that dinner with your parents.

[ She moves past him, to organize her things, since she can't look at him. ]

I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Finn. For that. For everything.

Well, I probably could've warned you before I told your parents and everything. [He pauses then shakes his head] Don't apologize. Please. I just... Don't.

[ She nods in acceptance, it's behind them now. ]

Can I tell you a secret?

Uh yeah. Of course. You can tell me anything, Quinn. [Should he be concerned? He feels like he should be concerned]

[ She is silent for a few minutes before reaching into the bag she had on her when she arrived. She pulls out her wallet, and from it hands him a picture ]

I miss her. Every day. I'm not supposed to but - she was really pretty, you know? She was....she was the prettiest thing I've ever done.

[Warily, Finn takes the picture and looks down at it. He remembers that day well, from telling Rachel that he loved her to that waiting room. He never did see Beth, though. He probably should have, but he couldn't.

He manages a small smile as he studies the picture, not bothering to look up from it before he starts speaking] She's perfect and... and she looks just like you. And, um-- [He pauses, trying to swallow past the lump in his throat] I can see a lot of Puck in her too.

[ Her gaze turns to her hands. ]

I know I did the right thing. I just...it hurts, you know. I mean, how can it be right and still hurt?

[He shakes his head. It's not about him and how bad that picture makes him feel] That's not true. You're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, Quinn.

[Finn wraps his arms around her shoulders again, leaning down to pres a light kiss to her forehead] Whether it was the right thing or not, you gave up your baby. I don't think that would ever be easy.
