[ Good afternoon, everyone. Please, enjoy your view of one Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, standing in the kitchen of the Stoker Manor, her blazer off, white sleeved shirt covered by the... pink apron she's wearing.

What is she doing, you might ask? She's attempting to cook, and by the looks of the kitchen, which is now a complete and utter DISASTER, she's not doing well.

Grumbling something, the heiress simply stares over at the stove, watching as the water she put on it just sort of boils over, along with the stupid spaghetti she put in it far too early. She continues staring for a moment, as though she really can't believe that this is happening, before she finally moves to turn the stove off.

In the process, however, she steps in some of the water that has boiled over onto the floor [fortunately, she's got shoes on!] and slides across it, having to rather ungracefully grapple onto the counter top to stay on her feet. This also sets off a chain reaction; a few of the jars that were on the counter are knocked down, crashing loudly onto the floor, sending whatever was in them splattering all over the place. ]

For fucks sake-- [ Fortunately, it is at this point the feed decides to end. ]

If we're not going to remember it, then why not use the time we have to do what we would never do on our worlds?

[Soma smiled slightly. YOUR ARGUMENTS ARE INVALID, INTEGRA.]

Yes, that was my original thought. I don't know, really. I just don't do well out in public.

[ GDAMN YOU, SOMA CRUZ. She smiled wearily in return, before prodding at her noodles. ]

Besides, I have other things to do.

[Soma relented at that, but he still offered her a faint smile.]

Just don't forget to live your own life, you know. And I don't mean the life you feel obligated to live.

Mm, I've promised to home school Walter... and his education takes priority for now.

[ She chuckled at Soma's words. She knew exactly what he meant. ]

...I know. Thank you.

[Soma grinned slightly, before turning his focus onto his meal.]

So... what about your plans for that, um... fighting monsters, defending innocents thing?

I still very much plan on doing that, yes. Thus far, you are the only one I have told, not even Alucard or Walter know.

[ Taking a sip of her water, the young heiress glanced from her spaghetti back to her companion. ]

Furthermore, I am unsure if I want to run such an organization out of this house. I fear I would put the others in danger, so I am considering relocating.

Well... where else would be safe enough to run such a thing then?

Somewhere in a more remote location. Where people wouldn't want to to go... basically, somewhere that is far, far away from most others.

[ She shrugged. There was a reason she was attempting to learn how to cook, after all. ]

I am unsure if I can take Alucard with me or not, because while I am his master at home, here it is a completely different story. My grandfather is, technically, his true master here. I don't know about Seras, either; she's already got a job as a police officer and I will not pull her from her duties.

[ Because they'd already done so once, when she'd died and chosen this lifestyle. ]

And I'm most certainly not going to drag you along for the ride, either. You've got your studies to think about first and foremost.

[Soma frowned at that.]

The way you're talking, it's almost like you want to do this on your own.

Of course it is. I've done... most everything on my own, this is no exception.

Why, when you have people here that would fight by you?

Oh, I'm not saying that eventually I won't be needing that help. I will. But just to start... I can't have anyone getting hurt. Do you know how many attempts I've had on my life at home? I wouldn't want that to overlap onto someone else here.

[Soma snorted at that.]

I doubt you have much to worry about that here, unless you plan to take on one of the companies.

That is exactly what I plan on doing, you realize. Not just one, both. I want to know what they're up to.

[Soma stopped with a fork full of spaghetti half way to his mouth. He dropped it back to the plate.]

Wait, why? I thought you wanted to deal with the Darkness monsters...

I do. But I want to know if these companies have anything to do with said Darkness monsters. Do you remember those freak attacks a while back? That flu?

Of course I remember...

[Soma winced privately, remembering how close he had come to dying.]

But still, there are times where strange things happen, and it's because of the Core acting up.

Yes, but whose to say they didn't have something to do with that? They know more than they will ever let on, and I want to know everything they do.

[Soma let out a breath.]

You really are a risk taker, you know that?

[ She flashes him a small smile at that. She can't deny it. ]

I have nothing to lose here, so why not?

[Soma paused for a moment, before he shrugged.]

You... have a point. I still wouldn't want to experience dying, personally.

There is a reason I don't allow myself to get too attached to people at home, and death is exactly the reason why. Although I've found that being here, there are a few people who I am quite fond of.

[ While she won't openly say it, the look on her face should have told poor Soma that he was one of the people she was closest to. ]

I've come close to death before, it doesn't bother me. As a matter of fact, I'm almost sure that I will die at home, should I return. My forces have dwindled and as it stands, it is just Alucard, Seras, and myself.

[...talk about a sobering conversation. Soma looked down at his plate, letting out a soft breath.]

I don't know... perhaps that would be enough, even against impossible odds.

Alucard and Seras will be fine, I'm sure of it. Alucard, the last I saw of him... I'd ordered him to take care of-- [ She paused, unsure of how to label it. ]

--a traitor. Seras and I were just on our way to face our main opponent to end the war. I don't care if I die, though. At least I know I will die doing my job to the best of my abilities.

[ She shrugs again, rolling her bad shoulder, listening to it crack rather loudly. ]

The very first attempt on my life was when I was twelve years old, so having death threats here will be nothing, I'm sure.

[Soma let out another breath, nodding slightly. He didn't really know what to say that wouldn't sound hollow, or like an attempt to draw the conversation away, so he didn't.]
