So, does it snow like that here often? 'Cause, I mean, if it does, then I guess I could be a little better prepared, you know? Warm clothes and stuff. Probably could stock up on food too. [That last bit is sort of mumbled to himself]

Speaking of clothes and food and stuff -- plus, I don't wanna be a freeloader too much longer -- I think it's probably time I got a job or something. This is probably gonna sound stupid to some people, but I'm not even sure where to start looking. I mean, I'm not even really sure what I'm good at, as far as job skills and things go. Well, I know what I'm good at and everything, I'm just not really sure how it would apply or anything.

[He lays the NV on his bed next to him, so it's just pointed up toward the ceiling now. It's not a bad ceiling. Finn's spent a lot of time looking at it]

I feel sorta useless and changing that would be kinda nice.

It could have been worse. In a way. We did have to deal with being stuck in a volatile group, but we all came out of it without any injuries, right?

[That was sort of out of nowhere. Color Finn mildly confused] Yeah, I know them. Why?

When Quinn first got here, she was talking about the... Unholy Trinity, and something about Santana and razors in her hair? [Pauses.] What's that about?

[Oh! That wasn't anywhere near what Finn thought Tim was going to ask] Oh, uh, in school Quinn, Santana and this other girl, Brittany are like teen royalty. You know, most popular girls in school and everything. Like the Holy Trinity, except way bitchier. Or, isn't there actually an Unholy Trinity in the Bible? Doesn't matter. They were, like, the Queen Bitches of McKinley and either someone came up with the name for them or they did themselves or... something.

And that other thing? Well, there's this one time that Santana threatened someone and was telling this other girl not to mess with her because she has razor blades in her hair. I just don't think anyone's been willing to check to see if it's true.

Yeah, we were talking about the whole... high school deal, and popular versus not popular. Since she's a cheerleader or something, it was really interesting, actually. Not that my schools never had that, but I never really thought about it much, you know?

...Razors in her hair. Well. That's one way to protect yourself. [Pauses.] She's cute. Quinn is, I mean, not Santana. I mean, she's hot too, but it's... different.

Trust me, man, you think about it a lot more, the more it applies to you, know you?

Yeah, Santana's hot and everything, but she's kind of a huge bitch. [Makes it hard to appreciate her looks sometimes] And I mean, Quinn's kinda bitchy too, but she's also kinda... I don't know, perfect? Head cheerleader, straight A student, she's got a great voice, she's hot and she's sweet when she wants to be. [Get the idea? Cause he could probably keep going]

...I think I was popular. [Winces.] Not to like... be vain or anything. I'm just making a general statement. I feel like, if I hadn't been popular, I would have gotten teased a little bit more. Though my friends back home did a good job of that, too. [Laughs.]

Mhm. So, did you two date, or do you just creepily stalk from behind your locker?

No man, it's cool. I was pretty popular in school too. [And he did a lot of teasing people and just... general bullying. Regretfully. It's not exactly something he's proud of] Kinda changed when I joined glee club though. Glee club is, like, the anti-popularity or something. [He doesn't sound too bothered by it, though]

Yeah, me and Quinn dated a couple of times.

It's a singing group, right? I thought musicians were popular.

But not now?

Yeah, it is. And they usually are. I mean, the glee clubs at other schools are all pretty popular. At McKinley, though, it kinda means constantly being made fun of and getting slushied and the guys not even wanting to block for me on the field half the time and there's just... Joining glee club is very hero to zero.

Uh, no. Not now. We're not together anymore.

Oh, okay. Just wondering.

Well, you know what slushies are, right?

So, why the questions about Quinn?

...They threw slushies at you? Is that even legal?

She seemed like a really nice girl. But kind of sad, you know? [Pauses.] She just reminded me of a friend of mine, that's all.

No one gets hurt so no one does anything about it. [Pause] Kinda makes me feel even worse about doing it to other people.

Quinn is really nice, though sometimes she's kinda-- She tries to be a total bitch, but she's not, you know? [A little more thoughtful] She's kinda been through a lot back home.

[He's a little surprised Finn did it to other people, but he also knows the pressures of trying to be popular. You did a lot of stuff you didn't really want to.] Still. Most schools have anti-bully laws in them, now, I would have thought one of those groups would be upset.

Yeah. She seems really nice, from what I've seen? Just... jaded.

[Unfortunately, that probably wasn't even the worst thing that Finn did. He's not proud] Dude, no one at McKinley stands up to the popular kids except for the popular kids, because they all hope to some day be one of them. Except maybe for the glee club but no one listens to them-- well, us, I should say. Look, no one stands up to anyone in that school and if they try, they just get beat back down for it. It's happened too many times already so people'd just rather keep their heads down and make it through the day.

[He has a lot of feelings about that school ever since he started seeing how the other half lives]

I... Yeah, she kinda is, I guess.

That's not right. I mean, I know it's usual, but it's not right.

[It isn't right, and he doesn't even know what to say about it. He doesn't.]

She's cool. If you see her again anytime soon, tell her I said hi.

Trust me, man, I know it's not right. I mean, I've tried doing something about it [Sorta] but there's only so much I can do. Besides, because of glee club, no one really listens to me anymore.

I actually see her all the time -- kinda live with her and Santana -- but yeah, I'll totally tell her you said hi.

I'm sorry. That sucks. Maybe things will get better when you go to college or something.

I thought you lived with Blaine and Kurt and Rachel?

Yeah. Yeah, that's what I'm hoping, at least.

Naw, I just spend some of my time there, with Rachel and Kurt there and everything, but I've been staying with Santana for a while now.

It will. I mean, if we can't hope for that, what can we hope for, you know?
