 [HEY. Remember when Christina first got here and she was completely batshit insane and a few months later, she started evening out a little and acting semi-normal? Those were some good times. 

Right now, she's sitting in front of her NV, looking coldly murderous. This is as angry as Christina's ever been since she destroyed Point Pleasant. Despite her fury, she's clearly been crying, but is trying to pretend she hasn't with teeth-gritted, wild-eyed fury. 

Big, epic speeches aren't really a thing when you're shaking with rage, but Castiel already covered the murdering aspect, so she needs something else to get her disapproval across, but she still keeps it short and simple. Crowley may not have been overly compassionate, but he was genuine. Didn't lie to her, didn't spare her feelings, wasn't interested in her powers. Ambivalence in a sea of blind love and utter betrayal and hatred was a welcome alternative.]

A demon died the other night, but that's okay, because he wasn't a person, right? 

If I find out that whoever killed him decided he needed to be put down because of what he is, then I'll show them what Hell really looks like. You'll find I'm not so easy to kill.

[She laughs- it's bitter and lacking humor.] It's funny. I actually believed for a second that the people in this town were tolerant.

Because you don't just sit there and take it. People betrayed you, tried to kill you, and do you know how many people here would just sit around and whine about it? You have the power to save yourself, and you use it.

[She ducks her head slightly, but her voice is nothing but cold bitterness.] Well, that's the thing, isn't it? People don't listen. I acted like a dog for a long time, tried to convince them I wasn't going to become a monster, but it wasn't enough. There's no sense in letting them think they were so much better than me when they were just looking for an excuse to throw me to the wolves. [A small tree nearby nearby cleaves itself neatly in half as if touched by invisible lightning and Christina jolts a bit, but offers no apologies for it. It was a small tree, no one's out there to get hurt, it's fine. Whatever.]

[And Lucifer, well, he doesn't even flinch. As if her power lashing out is the most natural thing in the world.]

People have already made up their minds about us, Christina. That's why you shouldn't let any of them make up your mind about what you want to do with your life. None of them. Not even me.

I'm not. I mean... I haven't. Things are so weird here- good weird. [She half-laughs and it's almost like she never lost her temper.] It's crazy, but I think I finally feel like I can belong here.

People calling them monsters and trying to burn them at the stake? Maybe Siren's Port's just one big support group.

If it is they're still pretty exclusive.

I don't know. I never did much therapy downstairs.

So Freud's not in Hell? [She beams. ...And wow, it should be way more uncomfortable joking around with Satan, but she can't say she doesn't... Sort of enjoy how down-to-earth he is. It's not at all what she was expecting.]

He was broken by the idea that demons don't have to have a 'phallus'. [TMI? Who cares. You're the anti-Christ.]

[Christina only looks a little horrified, before she... Just laughs.] I think the worst part about this is Boyd would've freakin' loved having you for a boss. But you're probably not nearly this nice to your subordinates, are you?

[Well, if Crowley's insane hatred of Lucifer is anything to go on...]

I am. [Just ask Meg, or Lilith, or Azazel. Or Ruby. Or...well anyone but Crowley, who Lucifer has only met twice, both times here.] I just don't tolerate dissenters.

On second though, him showing up and licking your shoes might actually be worth it. He deserves a good taste of humility. He may have been right, but I never needed him to tell me so every waking second.

No...no, you didn't. You realized the truth on your own. Just like I would have said you would. [Just like he'd told Sam that he would say 'yes' eventually. It was inevitable.]

[She frowns and tucks her hair behind her head.] I would have fought... I mean, I guess everyone fights when they don't understand. It wasn't like I was raised to be some... Weapon.

What were you raised to be, then? Because eventually, didn't everyone start seeing you as just some...Satanic deus ex machina in waiting?

[worldhaditsway]

My dad- the human one... He didn't really do anything. I guess I just thought I'd end up as a spoiled rich girl or something, always feeling like something was out of place, because I didn't know who my mother was... Or who I was.

But yeah. That's exactly what they thought, no matter what I did.

Then you might as well be anything you want. Unlike all your peers, you can do whatever you like. At least until the Apocalypse.

That's the problem. I'm not even sure what I want to be. [She rolls her eyes.] Which puts me in the same place as most girls my age, even if my teenage girl problems could end the world.

[Identity is not something Lucifer ever struggled with. Which, perhaps, is why he became the rebel that he is; he never had doubt, and he's never once thought that he was wrong.]
