Who's actually dealt with nulls or voids before Or the tech? There are a lot of spooky rumors around but not a lot of facts. And nothing's better than first-hand experience.

Kind of? It's really hard to explain. [because 'going deaf' sounds so much saner than 'the double tracking in my head goes away' ] What I do, people think it's psychic based. I don't know how it works. It just happens.

People who's powers don't work that way have just said it feels really uncomfortable and like they can't get to their powers.

It scares the hell out of a lot of people in the port though, I know that. I can't tell if they're making it worse in their head than it is, but a lot of people are terrified of the Voids. Like, 'the boogeyman is going to get me' kind of scared.

I'd gotten that sense, yes. It's one of the main reasons I wanted facts rather than fears. But I guess they aren't that exaggerated.

Can you tell me why they messed with you? I mean, bogeymen are scary because you just assume they're always after you, by definition. But real voids have to have some kind of motive, right?
