012 Twelfth Petal Video

[Byakuya has recovered from being battered by angel reiatsu during the SERO raid. He hasn't complained, merely stayed in his house and recovered from the owie.

However, today, he is in his room, at his desk with papers spread in front of him. He glances up at the feed.]

I am announcing it now, though I have already tendered my resignation. I will be leaving Hawthorne University at the end of this semester.

I bear no ill will toward the university or anyone who remains there. I will, of course, be searching for a new position immediately.

Fail!Locked to the NPP

I am also tendering my resignation to the NPP.

As I have not been attending meetings at all, I doubt this will come as a surprise.

My reasonings are thus: I find the leadership's policies to clash with my own code of owner. I cannot condone guilty until proven innocent.

I will, of course, answer any and all questions posed to me.

I'm sorry to hear about your differences with the party.

Whether or not that lock was unintentional, though, that was the most unprofessional exit.

[And Lee doesn't like how it seemed deliberate. As a fighter, he can read the signs of it in Byakuya's movement.]

Not even a rank and file worker would broadcast their resignation to the public until it had already been processed. If you had an argument with the party, you should have made sure to keep it in a closed discussion.

[But switching a feed from public to private should entail at least a minimal amount of movement towards the device. Obvious or not, Lee will hold his suspicion because there is something not right.]

Were they in your presence when you switched your filter to private? Because that lock failed you.

By corporate standards, resignations are best not announced on any medium that can be leaked to the public. In fact, they are best done in person to ensure confidentiality. It's a way of giving the organization some degree of respect as you make your exit. Afterwards, you are pretty much free to talk openly about what you didn't like.

Aside from that, leaking things about the last organization you were with and your habit of not coming to meetings may have repercussions on your next job.
