If he is guilty, then he will be convicted, and rightfully so. If he is not, then the law will account for that as well. If he is to be found guilty, [which Franziska personally to be the case, because unless the police are complete incompetents (but there always is that possibility, isn't there?) an innocent should not be brought in front of the courts in the first place--] you may come to learn that you were better off without him anyway.

[Francis has a hard time with this, mostly because one of his citizens is on trial. As much as he loves his citizens, it hurts to see them in such a lowly state. It hurts to see Amy's text. He knows how terribly he felt in the prisons here, for that few weeks, and all he wants to do is help.

But, he's not sure how he can.

So all he does is send Amy a little text, showing that he cares, or at least, someone is thinking about her and her father.]
