[Sorry, Amy, but you're going to receive Franziska's very cut-and-dry view of the situation:]
If he is guilty, then he will be convicted, and rightfully so. If he is not, then the law will account for that as well. If he is to be found guilty, [which Franziska personally to be the case, because unless the police are complete incompetents (but there always is that possibility, isn't there?) an innocent should not be brought in front of the courts in the first place--] you may come to learn that you were better off without him anyway.
[Talking from experience? Of course not.]

For what it's worth, I don't think you'd lose him entirely.
[Oh, he did see that...]
Whatever happens, I doubt you'll be alone.

Did he do what they say he did? It seems strange sometimes, does it not- we are forced to obey human laws and yet are not in this human place of our own volition.
I am heading into the hearing now, mon ange.
I will be with you again as soon as I am possibly able to.

He had options Loki. He chose to ignore them.
[He had been left to clean up some of this mess and frankly this a bad topic for him today, given Fred's death last night.]

The news said attacked not killed, I should think there ought to be leniency with that- especially considering his young daughter who is afflicted with the same condition.
And it is not as though he can request a change of venue should his trial proceed- trapped on an island and all- how could it be fair now with all this fervor over the two vampires who are killing and running rampant now?

Search the Network for his name. He had options, he refused them and other offers of help.
And yes, the timing is unfortunate.
[If Loki does, he'll find that Skye was a location in the attacks, with Magneto having known both victims.]

Do you think Angel and Godric shall be tried? Or will there be mitigating circumstances what with the soul snatching and whathaveyou? I should think in light of their death toll, the fact that this other one only drank and ran should be a source for clemency.
[He did look it up and can see why the issue is somewhat personal for Magneto. On the other hand, he does not know about Fred's death and is in a mood himself from behavingmostly for so long.]

Honestly? I do. Mitigating circumstances should be - and are - brought up in trial.
I stood trial for my actions back home Loki. I was acquitted, as I rightfully should have been.

Because you had mitigating circumstances, too?
Perhaps you are right. In a way. [A little sulky and how can someone be so reasonable. Then a bit of a brightening.]
Then all my own misdeeds on Midgard should be forgotten when I return since that was a previous life and not this one.

Yes. Several of them.
I would argue in his defense a profound culture shock, rather than what they are attempting. But...
And yes, I would argue that point for you. Not forgotten but forgiven, at least.

Miss Sorel...I know things seem grave but I know my Professor has been working long nights on a way to help your father.
