All right. We're havin' an event at Merlotte's. It's been too damn long and I've missed the big ones, so I'm decidin' right now that one's happening. ....Wednesday. There, it's decided. M'callin' it "Take Back The Night". There'll be live music and drink specials and all sorts of good times. Just for fun, it'll be a semi-formal theme.

We're also still hirin' for a number of positions, and I'm in need of an assistant manager in a pretty bad way. Come on in for an interview any day this week between 2 an' 4.

[reaching over to shut off the monitor. Stops. Squints.]

[He grins and offers a hand to help him up.]

[he takes it] Michael said the same thing.

[The very slightest flinch. It probably wouldn't have been noticeable if he hadn't been touching Sam.]

No, no. Still haven't met him. [cocking his head curiously, wondering at the flinch]

[He opens a window without touching it, and gives Sam a sly look.]

Need help off with anything?

[shifting]

[Sam snorts and sheds his shirt before shifting - this time into a Darkness monster, a tentacle hound. It's a shift that hurts, a perversion of what shifting is supposed to be, but it's an impressive form and fleet of foot, and he feels like showing off.]

[That is impressive. And surprising. Lucifer kneels on one knee in front of him and reaches out to touch him.]

[Sam rears his head back, the dangling tentacles curling away.

Careful. These things have barbs on the end. They're poisonous.]

[Lucifer's eyebrows go up, but then he shifts as well, into the wolf again.]

If I can't scratch your ears, I think that's a good sign we should go exploring.
