Ah, quick question. What do people eat on a regular basis?

[Normally this would be an easy question to answer, but....she's so confused.]

I mean, I imagine you can't eat the same thing every day, but how do you keep it diverse too? Do you have to go shopping every few days? And cooking, do you have to do it three times a day too?

Honestly I have no idea how you get anything done if you're cooking or eating all the time.

That assumes that people actually eat three full meals a day. And that they make everything from scratch or even prepare things themselves. That's very rarely the case.

I'm a vegetarian. But I really only eat fruit and drink tea. Not much cooking involved.

Well, at home, my butler cooked everything, three times a day and sometimes for snacks or something. He was really good at it, but he had plenty of time left over for other things, too! I don't know how to cook at all, but he made it seem pretty easy... I guess if you learn how to do it, it doesn't take that much time. I ate all kinds of things just fine.

Well, cooking doesn't have to take a long time! Not if you find simple recipes.

You don't have to spend a lot of time on every meal, but you should eat something three times a day.

How do you keep it diverse? Well- I assume you've seen the variety of options here in port. Not that half of them- less than half, at that, are of significant nutritional value.

Personally I don't cook much for myself, I tend to get most foods prepared. Franz nor I have much time to be puttering around a kitchen- but a leisurely meal is nice, a sociable one even more enjoyable. It gives people a chance to sit and talk.

Beans. Sugar cubes. Sometimes bananas. No cooking, takes too much time.

Aha, well... people eat what they like! It's not just everything. I don't like Italian, really, so I don't eat it, but I could eat Japanese any day of the week! I'm probably not the best person to ask, though, I always order out.
