[Anyone familiar with Souji Seta's apartment will recognize where Yosuke is immediately. He's sitting on the bed, which is unmade in a way it never would be if Souji had anything to say about it. There are cups of tea sitting around too, abandoned and forgotten. For all of that, Yosuke doesn't seem relaxed or well-rested. He just looks a little mussed and out of it.]

I'unno 'f anyone. Uh. Who needsta know. But somebody...he had a job. So-so, 'f you worked with him he's not playin' hooky, alright? I waited t' make sure. A while. Long time. 'Cause he wasn't answering, so I-um.

Anyway, 'm doin' this wrong. I just mean-um. Mean that Souji Seta is gone. Is all. So, please excuse him from work.

[He's a bit out of it at the moment, and oddly baffled by that offer. But he realizes he must be doing a shitty job of looking like someone competent to spread the message that Seta Souji needs to be excused from work, so he sits up a little straighter and blinks a few times, trying to get the blur to go away. Instead, it makes things spin, and he groans quietly.]

[Friends? Man, he would have been thrilled to hear her say that just about any other day. But just now, it seems to him like friends are an awfully big gamble.]

[He defaults to agreeing, as any fairly well raised kid from his own society does, even though that request seems to baffle him too. Did he say it wrong? He's fine, it's Souji who's missing.]
