[Gohan's energy is very tighly controlled and pushed down when he returns. Only those particularly adept at sensing such things and also know him very well will be able to detect him that way.

[Overall, Gohan looks rather nonplussed, oddly blank for a kid that usually emotes so obviously. He blinks a little, as if disbelieving his current surroundings for a moment. Oh. So he's really back. Well, he should let people know.]

I guess there wasn't too much of a time discrepency this time, huh? What's it been here, a couple days? [A tight, forced smile that doesn't reach his eyes.] Anyway, I'm back, in case anyone was wondering about me.

[He's just not sure he can do this fighting thing, anymore. Not after what's just happened. And added tentatively:]

You wouldn't happen to know anyone who could help get a new level of power under control, would you?

[And he just lets her. In a way, it's kind of a relief to not force himself to be the strong one, like he'd felt he'd had to do with Mom.]

[This is another telltale sign he went through something rough at home. He's not even mentioning it. The kid who'd been pretty open the next day about being hunted for sport a couple of months ago isn't up to talking about what had just happened in his world.]

[She'll continue to hold onto him. She'd even pick him up and hold him, but he's big enough that it might look a little silly.]

There were some problems with technology recently, but nothing significant has changed.
