[Counter to her last post, Mary is calm, composed, put-together, an iron look of determination in her eyes.]

If you've called someone and gotten their voicemail in the past three days, you need to comment here and tell me who it was.

I don't care if you think they got sent home, if they have an alibi, if they're supposed to be on a week-long vision quest, I don't care. If there's someone, anyone who you can't get ahold of and isn't absolutely definitely accounted for-

[Mary stops, folds, unfolds her hands. When her sleeve pulls back slightly, you can see a pair of handcuffs around one wrist.]

There might be another Hunt going on. We have to figure out now how many people are missing. Rationalizing where they might be, telling yourself it's not a big deal- forget that. We don't have time to second-guess.

I'm starting the list with Yosuke, Bigby Wolf, and Jesse Turner.

[Her hands are shaking a little. She grits her teeth slightly.]

Michael, everyone from last time- if you know where the grounds are, please. We need to stop this.

[... she can't be fucking serious. He'd assumed that Chane was just trying to piss him off- making some misguided point about their 'trust' like she had before by disappearing for a few days just to spite him. He'd never have guessed that she could have been--

Their recent conversations about 'sick leave' suddenly seem an incredibly poor joke.

Tonegawa surprises himself by answering Winchester's request. His tone is calm but grave; truthfully, he's not sure how he should feel about this. By all accounts he should be more irritated than anything, but he can't quite work up the necessary heat for that.]

Possibly Chane Laforet. I haven't been able to reach her at all.

[He hadn't known Jesse was here, too involved in other issues, so this is kind of a double shock to him. Another hunt is not a good thing.]

I haven't noticed anyone missing, but I talk to few.

[She takes a shaky breath.]

I want to burn it down.

[Korra's looking pretty ragged, like she hasn't slept for a long time. There are also some cuts and bruises visible on her face and upper arms. Naga is behind her, as usual, and Pabu the fire ferret is curled around her shoulders.]

My friend Bolin hasn't been home in days. I've been out looking for him but I haven't seen hide nor hair of him since about two days ago and he won't answer when I call him. It's not like him at all; he'd never leave me hanging like that.

[Going to go cling to Katniss now, okay.]

[ There's a look of equally resolved determination in her son's eyes. Maybe he got it from her. ]

T[John watches Mary post her plea, and he has to push down the anger that threatens to bubble up. First they took Mary, now his friend a goddamn kid? This has to stop. It's too sick.

When she's finished, he waits a moment before moving over to hold her from behind.]

What do you want me to do?

[So they had gotten Bolin, Yosuke, and that young boy, all so young]

Mary, I am with you. Let me know what I can do to help.

Not again... do you have a plan?

[He's visibly tense, but holding together.] Yosuke is the only one I know about.

[But even through that tension, through that simmering worry and anger . . .] Something's gotta be done to help them, but I don't want anybody going overboard.

[No torture, no suffering, no death if it can be helped. He does. Not. Want.]

A Hunt for newcomers? [ She's new here :c ]

I'm not missing anyone. At least, not that I know of.

[She pauses, worrying her bottom lip with her teeth. She hadn't seen this coming at all, and it scared her.]

Is there anything I can do?

[It's several hours after the initial post that he speaks up. His voice is short and taut with barely suppressed rage; not at her, of course, but at the situation at large.]

So what are we doing about it, other than getting names?

[He doesn't usually look like this--especially not to people he doesn't know. He's visibly rattled. He wasn't going to let his best friend die again. He composes himself as best as he can and with a bit of difficulty:]

What can I do?

I'm going. I used to know the grounds really well. I can get people in and out easy enough too.

I would like to help. My foster-son and housemate were taken last time.

[For someone who feeds on negative emotions as Phibrizzo does, this is too good of an opportunity to pass up. Still, he has to keep up his relatively innocent appearance, too.]

Um, m'am? My magic is good for Darkness proofing. I noticed you have a plan and if you have a place you want to hide everyone near the hunting grounds, I can keep it safe from the Darkness monsters.

I've found out a whopping Nothing Useful for all the searching I've been doing--these bastards are so far off the radar they might as well be in an underground bomb shelter.

Whatever you're planning, though... count me in.
