[Wow Siren's Port, you're surrounded by leaves! Sunlit greenery everywhere, what magic is this!

Oh hang on, you're in a tree, how awesome is that? You can hear some scrambling as the owner of this NV makes herself comfortable on the branch and then picks it up, the screen coming to focus on Rue's face.]

Hi everybody. [She sounds a little shy, but hey, she's not running away this time.]

I've been here, um... I think over a month now. That's a while, at least it seems to be to me. [Given the high risk she had of not living even another week before;;;]

I know I probably gave people a fright before, but I'm okay now. My name's Rue. I met a lot of kind people after I arrived who helped me out. I like it here, actually, even if it's not perfect. Like everyone's jumping on Newcomers about that missing girl...

But it's nice people are so worried about her, I hope she's found soon. [If at all. Rue's seen too many people lose their children, including her own family.]

I have a question, actually. Um, I promised someone I'd go to school here, so I want to do that.I think the schools here are different than home though, so where should I go?

I don't know how much help I can be, but I'll do my best. I'm great at climbing and sneaking, I'm fast and quiet.

You sound like you'd make a really good ninja. One of my closest friends is one, and she's very fast, and very quiet. Would you like to come and see our headquarters? If you don't like it, then you don't have to join.

I'd like to! Where is it?

It's here, in a warehouse in sector 11. [He sends her the map that has it circled.]

When should I come over?

How about now? Or tomorrow? During the day, just in case.

I can come now! I'll be there soon.

[Already climbing down the tree if the rustling of branches is anything to go by.]

I'll meet you outside. I'm wearing a red suit with a black cape. I'll see you soon.

[And he'll sign off and wait for her to show up.]

[And here's a Rue! A small dark skinned girl, who truth be told look even younger than her twelve years. Her eyes are bright and intelligent and she perks as she see's him.]

Hello.

Hey. [He grins, giving a wave with his gloved hand. Red and black seems to be his theme, with a giant gold belt buckle in the middle of his chest.]

Rue, right? I'm Red Robin.

[She nods in confirmation, looking him over.] Wow, your outfit is really great. It's nice to meet you.

Thank you. I'm sure your outfit is going to be really great, too. Which leads me into the next part. I hope you don't mind me going through the little spiel.

[His grin goes down to a smile, and he pulls out a tablet from his belt. ]

This group, like I said, is about helping people. Protecting them when we need to, and helping make sure the bad guys get put away, so they can't hurt anyone else. We go on patrols at night, in costume, and using aliases, so that no one will know who we are. If someone did, then they might use that information to hurt the people we love. This way, we protect them, and us. You'll be working in a team, or in pairs; we don't go on solo patrols. The whole point is to make sure someone has your back.

You have to agree to those terms, if you want to join. You can't tell anyone what you do, or who you do it with. If you think someone would be a good fit for the team, you'll come to me and we'll figure something out. But as Rue, you know nothing about the Titans.

[He holds out the tablet.]

If you're ready, you need to fill this out. If you can't read it all, you can press the button on the top, and it'll speak to you, and record whatever you say to it.

I get an outfit?

[Memories of the costumes they were given for the parade and their interviews flit through her mind, though they were probably not suitable for this, and they didn't really hide who she was. She listens, fascinated to Red Robin's words, that something like this exists and kids get to do it...

But she can't tell anyone, not even Katniss? Though maybe Katniss could do it too! She'll have to think about that.

Rue carefully takes the tablet, nodding solemnly yet the undercurrent of excitement she feels is still there.] I want to help people.

Your own outfit. We have someone who's helping make the outfits for us, but you can design it, or we can help. A costume says a lot about a person, just like their name. You want something that shows people what you're doing, in case you can't speak. My uniform is like a robin; red and black. [He taps the badge in the middle of his chest.] That's my symbol.

[He takes the tablet back, giving a smile as he put it back on his belt.] Songbird. It suits you. Want me to show you where we hang out?

I like birds, and music. [She says, with a shy air for a moment.] I'll give it lots of thought.

Yes please.

I like birds, too. That's why I chose my name after one. Robins aren't good singers, though. [He laughs.] I'm not a good singer, either. But I think I sound amazing when I sing in the shower.

[He comes up to a door, giving the code in the security panel by the door, and opening it.]

This side door leads up to the headquarters. The rest of the warehouse is pretty much empty, except for some boxes. But up here...

[He palms open another door, letting her go in first. The place is huge; a wall completely made up of large computer screens, a kitchen, medical station, and what looked like to be a lounge.]

[That makes her laugh and smile.]

At home we have birds called mockingjays, if you sing to them they sing the same song back. They're wonderful.

[She watches and follows in quick, light steps. Rue stares at everything, the big computers especially.] You must be rich!

Mockingjays. I've never heard of them before, they sound a lot better then parrots. Those just talk back to you all the time.

[He laughs at that.] Definitely not rich. A lot of these things I rescued from the garbage, but they work just as well as the ones back home. Our resident Oracle, Warbler, is the one in charge of the computers. We have a healer; her name is Sugar Plum, you'll have to meet her. I think you two will get along well.

They came from mockingbirds, and mutt's the Capitol created called jabberjays, they crossbred so we got mockingjays.

People threw this in the garbage? [Shock at the idea of such waste.] That's crazy... I would like to meet her though.

[He'd never heard of jabberjays, either, but he's not going to push the issue. Just remember it for later, in case it ever comes up.][Going closer to the computers, he pulled out the chair, gesturing her to sit down.]

She's very cool. We've got a lot of great people here, you'll get to meet them the next time we have a group meeting. We always meet at night, so that we can make sure no one will know. It's a secret meeting.

[Rue takes the seat, hands resting on her lap.]

Oh... I'd have to sneak out to come. [Exciting!]

As long as you're okay with that. I don't want to make you do anything you don't want to do. [He's serious about that, and he wants to make sure she's okay, before going any further.]

[She thinks about it, then smiles.] It'll be fun!

Yeah. [Good! He's glad that someone's excited for this. Everyone is excited for this, but it can be difficult.]

Okay, I want you to put your hand on the screen. There's a scanner, and it'll scan your hand print. That way, whenever you want to come into the warehouse, all you do is place your hand on the door and let it be scanned.

[Oooh, it's Capitol technology, almost. Not like the tracker that's still in her arm but... nope she doesn't want to think about that.

Rue nods and does so.] That's really clever.
