So, lately, I've been thinking. What's the general state of everybody being able to handle themselves in a fight against a big ugly? Lots of 'em around, and there's night patrol and everything, but does anybody ever offer self-defense and weapons use classes? Not saying I need 'em - just that I'd like to step up and do the job myself if nobody else's got a monopoly on that particular chunk of the market. Having people who do know how to fight and take care of themselves is all fine and dandy, but wouldn't it be better to help prepare everybody else on top of that? And if anybody else does already do this kinda thing, any chance y'might be hiring an extra hand? I'm an expert on pretty much any type of weapon you can think of. Not a big fan of guns, but I'll use 'em in a pinch.

There used to be a shop such as that, they taught the arts of combat and battle. Not sure if the patrons still linger. People come and go so often, you know.

I've heard the come and go's are pretty rotatey.

There's more than one dojo around that teaches weapons and basic self-defense. Not sure if the owners are still around. I worked for a native when I first got here doing just that, but... ya know, things happen.

So, I've got this huge apartment building and not a lot of folks in and certainly no one who understands the importance of trolling a mall and looking for the right pair of shoes like only an Angelino can. Since I lived with the previous Buffy, was thinking maybe you'd like to hang here. My closet, as always, is open for raiding.

I believe there's a program through the Newcomer center for self defense, at the least. And there are more than a small amount of us who teach on a more private level.

I've been at it awhile, and I figured I could probably give a hand to the new kids and people who just wanna be more advanced, y'know? I'm pretty much perfect with a stake. And swords. ... Oh, and also crossbows.

I think come as you are is a prerequisite.

My friend, before she disappeared, worked for a dojo. It was run by Kurogane, who was another Newcomer, before he disappeared...the place is probably looking for people to work there. Or an owner.

And are you the guy I should talk to about it? Or are you a guy who knows a guy, with possibly an obscure relation or other odd connection...

I'm all for apartmentyness. And Mocha-y goodness. I'm definitely up for chocolate. This place is like Sunnydale on steroids.
