[The voice, recognizably Joan's to those who know her or who care to remember voices, is all business.]
I know of other clones within the city. Is there any sort of assistance set up for them? A charity or such?
[The voices pauses there a moment, then comes back in a low and soft tone. She doesn't sound like one on the verge of tears. It's a distinct note of regret, though not harsh or pronounced.]
I'm afraid I don't know much about this city still, it's newcomers or it's charities. I have been negligent and selfish in that regard.

[Because honestly? She's curious. Maybe it was a race of people or something of that regard. After all, the more Astrid could learn the better, right?]
And how is it selfish if you don't know about something?
[A pause, then:]
I haven't tried to learn. I have been... wrapped up in my own self, I suppose you could say.
[But at least she understands the second part.]
Well that's no good. If an animal or someone can't learn to adapt then how can they expect to survive? I've so much to learn about this crazy giant village, but if I want to survive I've got to learn as much as I can.
[She shrugs.]
At least it's not boring - there are amazing things like electricity and refrigerators, and more confusing things like clocks and microwaves.

Imagine standing next to someone who looked exactly like you. Though they wouldn't have your memories, they would be the same as you physically. That would be a clone.
You're not familiar with such technology? [She knew Hattie wasn't but she hadn't bothered to think if others might not be.]
And I fear the chance to a deep friendship had been lost to me because of such.
[That made sense. But why would twins get special treatment compared to those who didn't have twins?]
Not at all. I'm a Viking and apparently my people are from a long time ago compared to this day and age.
As for your lost opportunity, unless the person is dead or not here, there's always a chance to change someone's opinion or change the situation for the better. [Hiccup certainly showed her that even the most stubborn of beliefs could be changed overnight.] Besides, if it's meant to be, then it'll happen. If not, it won't. But you'll never know unless you try. Fear never gets you anywhere.

Ah, I see. I'm afraid I've never been either. Do you know of any other charities then?

Are Clones More In Need Of Assistance Than Others Who Are Not Cloned
video;
Seeing as there isn't, I am happy to donate to any other charity. Others are in need of assistance as much as we clones. I only wanted to ask first.
