[ Considering how chatty Clover usually is, and how she isn't shy about showing her face on the network, the briefness of her message seems utterly out of character: ]

What's it like, not being human?

Growing up with it, I mean -- being a different species or having powers even before you came here.

[ Also out of character is the unusual effort she makes to keep the text legible and correct -- as anyone who's been subjected to her haphazard keypad-smushing and emoticon spam can attest to. ]

Yeah. I like being able to meet people from all kinds of places. Compared to this place, going home would be pretty boring!

[ There's also the small matter that as far as she's concerned, all that's waiting back home is an unpleasant death via sinking boat. ]

What about you? Do you like it here more?

You've no desire to return to your home world at all?

[Death does put a certain damper on things! Sephiroth would lose his closest friends if he returned home -- he'd return to their deaths.]

I would not deny that there are things about this place that I find unsavory. But on the whole I consider myself fortunate to be here, and among my current company.

My brother's here. That's all that matters.

[ It seems she won't offer much explanation beyond that. ]

I understand.

Made, and been reunited with ones I'd thought lost. It has been a welcome thing.

Would you go home if you could?

If my doing so would ensure the safety and happiness of those for whom I would take up my blade, then I would do so without hesitation or regret.

Huh. I think that makes you pretty brave. [ Or pretty stupid. One way or the other. ]

[ If this was voice, she'd sound pretty wary. ]

I can assure you that I am not.

[ Because knowing one angel is bizarre enough. ]

So, how long have you been here?

I have been called a demon, but it has only ever been in jest or insult. I am not one.

Most of a year by now. It has been interesting. But what about you?

You know, normally I'd laugh, but I've actually met demons here. They're not that bad.

[ Not that that means she trusts Crowley as far as she can throw him, but he's got a wicked sense of humor and that's all that really counts. ]

I've been here since last August. My brother's been here a little longer than me.

I would imagine that the phrase 'they're just people too' applies as well.

I have been since July. Seemingly, we are not that far apart.

Yeah. But we don't have any of that kind of stuff where I come from, so it's still weird to think about it like that.

Looks like it. I guess there are just too many Newcomers to keep track of, now.

Or perhaps it lends an open mind, where ones who are used to such things might not see so freely.

In a way I am sure it is a blessing, to lend anonymity to those who wish it.
