[The screen flickers on and before it stands a pale creature with black hair and a long white coat. His eyes are red as rubies, lips bloodless pale in a faint smile
He tips his head to the side, hands clasped behind his back and when he speaks the voice is childish, affecting a lilt at the end of his words]
Canada. Aha.
[His tongue is pointed as it darts out to wet his lips]
I see through your trap. Nazis. You’ve mastered killing off your own kind but fail so badly at humor.
[Those red eyes take on an inner glow, burning like hellfire. Shadows thicken and draw forward, velvety fingers licking at his boots, at the shadowed hem of his coat]
I’ll have my Coffin and my human, now. [He looks left. Then right.
Then up.
Then down, back on the NV.
His tone is solemn, scolding, though the smile at the corners of his mouth deepens] No? [His bloodless lips pull back in a ghoulish smile, revealing dainty fangs that grow longer, sharper, two sets of upper canines, two sets of lower canines]
Then I shall huff and puff and tear this whole island down.

Re: [Action]
He knew they wouldn't return what was his. Not without spilling their blood.
Which was the plan anyway.]
Releasing Control Art Restriction System to level three until target is eliminated. [A sharp increase in his power, the shadows around the white clad figure lick at his boots, at the hem of his coat.]

Who are you?

[His eyes glow red as similar eyes of differing shapes open in the shadows around him, watching Soma]
no subject
[Soma drifted off, feeling something stirring in his chest. A feeling... a memory? He couldn't tell, just that in the moment he left it unchecked, a surge of emotion rushed through him -- love, adoration, hate, and realization -- tipping his balance on the pole.]
No, not the same...
[...but it wasn't really what he wanted to say. It was almost like a reflex, and the feelings faded immediately after.]
no subject
[He's curious, but no matter.
A sneer curls up the corners of his mouth]
Is this how you intend to fight? No demon familiars? No mastery of shadows? Fine.
[And then he's surging forward, small and fast.]
no subject
But he's emitting so much Darkness... you could just take it; he won't notice...
[For a moment, that voice in the back of his head made it sound like a good idea. For a moment, his body took in the Darkness, tendrils from Alucard leaking off into Soma...]
[...and then Soma snapped out of it, using all of his willpower to force it to stop.]
No, I'm doing this my way.
[He pulled his knife from his coat, ignoring the grumbling in the back of his mind as he surged forward to meet Alucard.]
no subject
[He saw the flash of the knife's blade and a laugh crawled out of his throat] That? That's it? You intend to scratch me?
[Slowing his attack, he allowed the boy ample opportunity to stab.]
no subject
[Soma took a practiced swipe at Alucard, his movement obviously brought about by forced training in a battle ground of monsters. But... he's obviously still just a human.]

I have a dark power. Not evil, but... some parts of it bring me closer to that Darkness than I like.
[He took another step back.]
Look, there are plenty of vampires here that can coexist with humans, and if you can do that, that's fine. There doesn't need to be another person like Eric around here.
no subject
But this boy, he piqued Alucard's interest]
Hoh, I don't hunt humans. I hunt vampires.
no subject
But... on the NV...?

It's the year two-thousand-twelve. There hasn't been an organized Nazi movement in over sixty years.
no subject
[A snerk] Disappointing. The promise of war snatched away.
At least we discovered this before I ate you.
no subject
I may not be happy with my powers, but I wouldn't have let you eat me.
no subject
[A faint flash of fangs as he calms down from the high of potential batte.]
Why not fight with your own powers? Will they consume you?
no subject
I rather not risk it.
no subject
There is something about them; the way you began to take in my own power. Perhaps we are of a similar nature.

On my world, Dracula existed. He would return from death every hundred years or so to try and get revenge on humanity. At the turn of the century, he was defeated for good, but...
[He hesitated again; was it really okay to let someone completely new know this? What would Elaine say?]
[...probably something completely vague, and let him know that he had already made up his mind to tell someone.]
...he was reincarnated. As me.
no subject
At the reincarnation bit he did laugh, it was not pleasant, half mad and brittle like shattered glass.]
Of course, of course! How strange [He began to circle Soma, then, not with a predator's gait, but curiously, though the weight of his gaze was intense.] - improbably, but here we are.
For centuries I bore the name Dracula. [He pauses, hands clasped once more behind his back, in front of Soma] Until my metaphorical death and rebirth as Alucard.
Your ability to feed from my power, the familiarity of it, even with the differences I feel...ahah...hah
no subject
Y-you're... Dracula.
[He had to say it out loud, just to properly process what he had just heard.]
Of course he's like me. Not the same, not at all.
No, there's something much more there; it's hard to imagine, but he's much more powerful than anything on my world.
[Soma shook himself out of the mental dialogue, forcing himself to relax.]
I... don't even know what else to say. I must look pathetic to you.
no subject
No. You are quite impressive.
To have all that power at your disposal, but the iron will of a true human to not be consumed by it, that is strength. Bravery in the face of impossible odds, facing me with a knife...[He grins wider, mouth full of sharkish fangs]
Never give up on that.
no subject
[He really didn't know how to handle this.]
Ah... thank you.
[A bit of a smile crept up onto his face.]
no subject
[His curiosity over this boy has piqued even more. Was he on his own? Did he have any idea of how to control his power? Was there a way to snap him out of it should he lose control? He was eager to know.]
