_{[When the feed comes on all that's visible is an overcast sky and the sound of waves crashing. It shifts, shaky before the NV is set firmly onto a rock. Syrena seems to be splayed out on a rather large rock herself, golden tail shimmering and ever so visible, the fin dipped into the water. Her rather nude chest is also apparent, but she seems comfortable more than anything, long damp hair blowing lightly in the breeze, pooling over her shoulders.]}

Today I found something interesting.

_{[And she seems to reach off camera for a moment, before thrusting a metal fork right at her NV.]}

This. This is what I found.

_{[She pulls it back toward herself and takes a few strands of hair in hand before...combing them with the fork.]}

Is it not an amazing treasure? Knots in hair are bothersome but this rids the hair of them. It is much more effective than using fingers.

What is it called, this treasure of mine? I have no name for it. I wish to know.

[And hey, there the comb is. And it's attached to a scruffy haired kid with some big headphones that he tugs off his ears and down around his neck. He raises a hand in greeting, and smiles.]

You really are a mermaid, aren't you? That's wild.

_{[She raises her own hand, wiggling her fingers awkwardly before setting it down beside her, moving closer to where Yosuke seemed to be.]}

Of course I am. _{[Was it really that hard to believe? Apparently so.]}

[He crouched down to get a better look, staring unabashedly for a moment.]

You're really beautiful. In the stories, mermaids are always so ugly and cruel. It's a good thing I met you, or I never would have known better.

_{[She doesn't mind him staring - not in the least. Even Syrena is a little vain. There isn't a mermaid that exists that doesn't like being told she's beautiful.]}

Ugly, perhaps not, but mermaids are not known for their kindness. My sisters knew nothing of it. I have been taught otherwise, however.

[Because what else is there to say to that? He digs the comb out of his pocket and holds it out, along witha little tube of the promised detangler.]

Uh, here. Do you know how it works?

_{[The comb is taken first and she looks at it quizzically, turning it over in her hands.]}

I understand how to use the comb. Just like the fork, yes? But the other item you have…I do not know how to use it.

You open it...

[He unscrews the lid from the tube, demonstrating, and squeezes out a few drops.]

Then you get some in your hands and rub it together, and you put it in your hair.

_{[Silent as she regards him, she takes the bottle of stuff from him without a word, mimicking the action until her hand is covered in the stuff. It only takes her a moment longer as she rubs it in her hair, running her fingers through it.]}

It is annoying when it becomes tangled.

You could always cut yours off if it's so much trouble...it's pretty the way it is now, though.
