So . . . if you work for the companies, are you going to do what they say?


Locked to Ahiru, Gilbert, Kaito, and probably Joe.

I know almost none of you like me working for them anyway, and I don't really either, but . . . right now I really want to keep my job. But if I affiliate, then what? Especially if I want to get out later?

I don't like the tracking. I don't even know if I could pass a "loyalty screening," whatever that is.

I'm worried. But I have to figure out what to do fast.

I think it's really hard to get out once you're in, especially if you're planning on signing a loyalty thing. It just sounds dangerous... I think you should look for another job.

'S not like I'm in the know a lot or anything here -- I'm too low for that. But there's lots of rumors. And access.

I remember last year, when Miles was still here, he and a bunch of other people worked together on a lawsuit against AGI. They got a lot of rights back for slaves.

I guess I understand why they're anxious, just . . . It seems like too much. And if they'll do this, how much more will they do?

Yeah, I do . . . Just in customer service. In some ways I kind of feel like I need to stay, but . . . people keep telling me to get out.

That's true . . . I guess I figure if it's SERO, that means something hooked up to your brain or microchipped into your spine. But I also don't like that they don't say what happens if you don't pass. Or if you want out later.

Customer services for electronics and stuff . . . So if someone's blender doesn't work, they call me. You don't really even have to know much for it; you get scripts for everything. Like: "I'm sorry that's caused such inconvenience for you, sir; let me transfer you to tech support."

. . . I say that kind of thing a lot. Very, very patiently. Because they've usually called to yell.

'S not a great job. But yeah, it does pay pretty well. And if I want to do overtime, it's really good.
